It works for me now although will be continuing with GG until bag runs out.

Have you tried a hard reboot? Turn phone off take battery out, take sim out then put them all back in and turn on.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

Yeah, I tried that. I also spent about half an hour on the phone with them whilst they tried resetting my codes, but that didn't work. In the end, I did a factory reset of the phone and then added the codes myself and amazingly it worked! I've only had the phone a couple of weeks, so I didn't lose anything by having to reset it.

I am using a Vodafone Chat 655 with an Ovivo sim and have everything working ok, but I have to have it set as default to Ovivo, if I have default as Auto it goes to Voda PAYG.
  • Having successfully converted to ovivo last week and had been very pleased with the transfer of my mobile no. etc. I am now facing the dilemma that I cannot configure my settings.

Ovivo have now said my phone(which is 7yrs old) will never work on their network under the new configuration as I don't have internet.
Dilemma, go back to vodafone and continue to payg or bite the bullet and find a cheap mobile which is supported by Ovivo?

Can anyone recommend a cheap mobile which does work on Ovivo?

If your phone isn't internet capable, what settings do you need? Just the SMS service number?

Looking for a personal recommendation for a cheap as chips(if thats possible) phone I CAN use on Ovivo otherwise I have to rtn my SIM.
