I can't believe my Police tickets only reached face value on ebay

  • Indeed...it's £18000 a year, assuming that income is steady over a period of a year.

I wouldn't consider this particularly good earnings at all...pretty pitiful in fact.

If that were gross earnings, it would be unimpressive, but I'd consider it quite a respectable figure for take-home pay. We're getting a bit off topic though.

Oh for fcuks sake ! Now you can't help taking the p!ss out of someone's earnings !!!

Look, to me that's a nice sum of money that I'm extremely grateful for. I'm a lone parent raising 2 kids under my own steam. I work hard to earn what I need to earn whilst juggling the time and attention required by my kids. We live a modest life and that's how I like it. If I put more hours into Ebay to earn more, you'd all be saying how greedy I was and how I've neglected my kids needs !!

Now, I'll say it again. I'm VERY proud of the fact that I earned £1500 ( yes, take home pay ) last month by selling on Ebay. I've paid my mortgage and other bills and will still have a little something over for a bag of chips perhaps !!!

You go and earn your huge wages ! I'm not bothered !!! I'm happy on my wages, you on yours.
  • no one is going to fight your corner when it comes to the crunch.

But I'm not asking anyone to  I've already said that the end will come. I'm not moaning or complaining about that, petitioning Government or anything ? Yes, the crunch time will come, I'll be grateful for past opportunities whilst moving on to the next !

You know, I've just been screwed by my local garage. £1.45 for a loaf of bread !!!!!! !

Here's some of the comments from those I've screwed:

***GREAT E-BAYER !!! def recommended and will def use again!! CANNOT FAULT!!***

*F*A*B*U*L*O*U*S*. What more can I say. Definitely will use again. 5* service

Awesome. Defo hope to use again

    Great tickets, great service, Thanks

Oh and an email I received recently from someone who spent £150 on a pair of tickets worth £35:

Just to let you know that i received the tickets in the post this morning. Just wanted to say a huge thankyou for a fantastic service, great communication and and a speedy delivery. I will be sure to leave you positive feedback, you're a real credit to ebay, it's just a shame there aren't more like you!

I don't seem to find any reference in my feedback to being 'screwed' ?
  • I don't buy or sell tickets but I don't see anything wrong with it ,it's supply and demand something our economy has been built on.

If it was an essential to life must have item then indeed I would call it profiteering of the most disgusting order but it is a ticket.

If people weren't so much into celebrity and hero worship their would be no market for these tickets.

And personal insults only makes you look pathetic.

I don't, that's why I'm registered as self employed and declare my earnings.

Really? Isn't anyone who earns a wage by selling any product, service, whatever, for a profit doing exactly that? Whether they/their company makes 1p profit, or a Bilion pounds profit, they have still at some point screwed someone over and obtained more money for something than it's actually worth.
