I can't believe my Police tickets only reached face value on ebay

The only way to stop this is to put the names of the people on the tickets.
Make them non-tranferable.
Make them bring ID with them to the gig.
If you cant go return the tickets.... and get your money back :rolleyes:
It might take a bit more time to get into the venue but is there any other solution0 -

Dont worry, its coming, soon.

what about finidng out if there is a forum for the band and infiltrating that on the premise that you are a fan and have a spair ticket coz one of your mates is ill and can;t go or my girlfried/boyfriend left me and we were going to go together and now I have a spair.
I dare say you would be able to flog them for around 30% more than you can on ebay!
let the flaming commence.
Oh, and no I don;'t have 4 hours to spend on the phone to get tickets - I have WORK to do!
let the flaming commence....just in case you need to know:

Maybe not for a DVD player, but there are plenty of people who have spent far more than 3 hours trying to get hold of specific pieces of electrical equipment (or other items) that are in limited supply or on special offer in certain stores.0 -

I don't have to flatter myself, others do that for me. I earned £1500 this month ( yes, AFTER tax ), have over 1500 sales and 100% feedback. Having worked up from selling the odd item from my loft to become a self emplyed businesswoman ( yes, that's bus-ness-woman ) , I think I've done rather well thank you ! :beer:0 -

Quite right nightswimmer. And others that tried for more than 3 hours trying to get hold of these items and have come away empty handed... You don't hear those people going on about hair unfair it is, that someone pipped them to it and is now selling the item on Ebay for a profit !
You didn't get what you wanted ? Well just try harder next timeOr indeed, have a little patience and your turn will come, be it extra released tickets ( they appear all of the time and if you were that desperate, you'd be sat trying to get them all of the time, and you'll succeed ) or do what many a happy customer do, buy on Ebay at a price that you're happy to pay !

There's some who are happy to give any spare tickets away at cost price, that's their call and well done for your loyalty to your band. There's other's though who aren't so wrapped up in a band and prefer to see what others are prepared to pay. That's their call also.fannyadams wrote: »Oh, and no I don;'t have 4 hours to spend on the phone to get tickets - I have WORK to do!
Just one reason why some people prefer the so called touts to spend hours and hours trying to get tickets and then giving others the opportunity to purchase on Ebay on a day and at a time that suits and at a price that they are prepared to pay.0 -

Some people use Ebay as a service, others don't
