Happy birthday Racyred!
Hope that N9neav`s daughter is on the mend.
I went with my son to Zara to buy a new Tshirt and top for doing well is his AS exams( must stop saying Mocks!) He only stripped off his top in the shop to try them on:rotfl: The the little darling left me in the huge queue while he went to work at Barratts! Says them men are far more straightforward buying shoes, us women tend to`dither` and change our minds! Hmmm!
Invited out for a drink tonight with a neighbour so that will be a nice change!
Hope everyone has a nice evening. Very impressed with the lovely smilies people have on their posts!0 -

Just off to read about you in the "getting to know you" thread. (Clicked on that by mistake and noticed your name as the last person to post. I'm not nosy. Honestly!
Off to scoff some wine to dull the pain of Scotland's defeat by a mere 1 point to Ireland. Can only hope they don't get the wooden spoon now.
Ah well, they are a young team and need the experience. Off she trots singing "O flower of Scotland"........

Evening all,
I'ts not like me to post twice in one day, but I've just popped into my local Tesco Express & got a chicken £1.56 broccoli 47p spring greens 40p Mushrooms 42p & crumpets 19p!
So it should be a cheap week for us, as all I need to buy are some bacon scraps & I will get 3/4 main meals & a weeks worth of soup for less than a £5.

stefjb you lucky thing!!!! Get yourself over there, girl!!!! A flight to Toronto must surely be cheaper than a week in the Cayman Islands? Remember to take a camera as us stay-at-home types with no lives like to live vicariously. Wow! such a fantastic holiday. Have a fab time.
HHester that is shopping OS style girl!!! Well done."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Evening all
Popped to see a new rental property this afternoon after having a huge row with the landlord this morning......it's a lovely house - but all the local schools are rough and I don't drive....hmmmm....think we've decided to stick where we are (haven't had a rent increase in 4 years so I was feeling a bit  at how much the rent would be on a new place.
Suppposed to be going to my friends 50th party tonight but in true kiddie fashion DD2 is full of cold and has an upset tummy, she's currently lying on the sofa trying to keep her eyes open - have sent friend a text - she won't be pleased but hey, what can you do!
Have done sweet F.A. today - will pull my finger out tomorrow and get some baking done whilst DH does some gardening.
Have a great evening all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
hi everybody,
Thought I'd stop lurking and say hello  I'm joining those having a quiet evening in (when should really be doing loads).
Best wishes x0
