    Hi all

A quite morning for us (me and twin 3 year olds) as we wait for DH to get back from his week long training course.

I have had a crap week with a woman bumping into my car and all the trauma associated with that. However, I am not going to use it as an excuse to have a takeaway. Beans are soaking and I am going to make a bean and quorn curry for me and DH tonight. I made cheese scones last night for lunch today and did a ham. We had butternut squash soup last night with some leftover in freezer.

I am determined to keep on track now, both with budget, OS and diet!!!

    Have a good weekend

Morning all. Going to work in a few mins until 12ish, then me and DD are having a haircut at one, so will grab a quick butty on the way. For tea we're having fillet steak:eek: with peppercorn sauce, well it is nearly my birthday!! Got to do a bit of revising for my C&G exam on Tuesday - it's the first exam I've ever sat, as I didn't take any at school, so wish me luck. Will pop on again later if I get the chance. Have a nice day y'all.

  • Hello everybody,

Gee it's been months since I have popped in, good to see all you people! I have decided to take up fishing to a)get some great free seafood and b)have a free hobby (well almost), so cross fingers that today is the day I actually catch something!
Fish supper anyone? Other than that, bread in the machine, washing on the go, OH parked in front of TV... Getting there!

  • good morning all,

thanks for the good wishes - my cat is home safe and sound and very unimpressed that we have to keep him in for a week until he's been checked by the vet on Friday. The bill makes me wish I had paid for insurance!!!

I am feeling much better now all is well. Yesterday we had to collect my dd1 from school - they thought she had broken her wrist again. It looked swollen and I could have sworn it was broken - but one x-ray and 3 hours later - it was just sprained. Thank heavens for that!

(((((hugs))))) for your dd N9eav and Donna, Moggins, TM and anyone else who needs one or wants one.

I can't believe I'm up, went out for a meal with the girls last night and it was wonderful and really cheap, a little italian with a set menu (of beautiful big courses!) for £12 each. There was a bit of a mix up and I nearly didn't go, but I'm glad I did. Oh, and I have a bit of a hangover as you also get wine with your meal included - and those who drove/don't drink passed them on to us who did! The diet really went out of the window! back on track today though!

Hope everyone has a really good day bbxx

    Morning all :hello:

N9eav hope your DD is allowed home today.
dlb looks like OS to the rescue! ;)
jockettuk well done on the weight loss. I lost over 3 1/2 stones but have managed to put one back on. I just can't get myself motivated enough to restart the exercise. Can't make excuses any longer. Will have to start today. (there, that's me told. :D )
sahmx5 (((hugs))) men and reason are like oil and water at times imho. I hope you get to the NCT sale though. I got quite a few bargains when my DS and DD were littlies.
DonnaP :T well done for not using excuses. Can you motivate me now - please?
tired mum the MFI thing is really dragging on for you, isn't it. Wonder how much business they have lost as a result of your posts. :D
A big Hi to everyone else who has posted. I have read them all.

Not much going on here today. I will be clearing out my bookcases to sort out which books I am going to list on Green Metropolis. I have loads to get rid of and the money will come in handy. Will do some housework too and try and get a meal plan together for next week. I have been keeping a spending diary which has helped me stop spending money frivolously (sp?) but my account still isn't as healthy as it could be. So, I will need to sit down and look at exactly where it is all going. That should be fun.

Hope Saturday is good to you all. xx

    Morning

House is all clean and tidy so just got a pile of washing to tackle today. Also need to pop to our local town to get afew bits from the market. Will proberbly go to the big park with DD at the same time and wear her out, shes currently learning to ride her tricycle. Hopefully she will have a sleep this afternoon so we can do some gardening.

Thats about the extent of the excitement in my life at the moment. Hugs to anybody who needs one.

    Have a good day

Morning all! overslept again - honestly I don't know what i'll do next week when I'm back at w**k. Good luck N9eav with your dd - big difference between the relative niceness of a children's ward and the adult wards - poor her!
Today am going to make a decision about the garden - I sowed some seeds a couple of weeks ago in the squre foot garden and nothing is coming up :( to top it all I had some seedlings in a propogater in my bedroom. Well dgs was put to bed there on thursday and spent a jolly half hour taking all the labels out and apart from a butternut squash i don't have the experience to identify everythng else :( I may have to start again!
no dd for the weekend so I will catch up with some housework and take the bike into town to stock up on some fruit (newish) juicer means we are getting through loads. I actually told dd that fruit doesn't grow on trees you know when she came back for a third time yesterday - oh the pitying look she gave me but i knew what i meant.
looks nice enough for some line dried washing today but sadly, thanks to moggins/lil-me I only have one load to do - ah well :D
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
