    Hi everyone!
Back at work again and as usual I've jinxed the equipment and the software and the website I needed for the student's exam have completely failed to work and it's never happened before. Bloomin' typical!! Shall be glad to get home and to my oldstyling thank you very much!!
This afternoon I've got a bit of mending to do and then I'm going to cook a tuna bake, flapjacks and 2 Weetabix cakes so I'm only using the oven the once.[One of the cakes is to go to my sister as part of her moving in pressie as she is getting her new abode on Tuesday.] Well that's the plan anyway. I'll also need to bring the washing in as it's the first time I've hung it outside this year.
After that I intend to watch the repeats of the Monarchy series.
Tomorrow it's chicken paprika in the slow cooker, pump up my bike tyres as I'm trying to reduce my car use yet further, help OH hang our recycled door and then poison my friends off with my HM baking when they drop round by for a cuppa!!
Anyway after the morning I've had perhaps instead I shall dart off for a very strong medicinal double brandy, get completed sozzled and let the afternoon go with a swing!!!

    Morning all

Have been up since 10am but still in my jim jams. Had a really long and groty week at work, with a few 7.30am starts so I reckon today I deserve a bit of slobbiness!

WM is on as is TD. Looks like rain here so now chance of hanging outside today. My kitchen looks like a bomb has been dropped so I really need to do that before the kim & aggie get called in!!! Actually the whole flat is looking bad, have got a few days off during thr coming week so will probably get cracking then. Weekends are for fun!!

Gonna potter for a wee while and then crack on with jobs that need doing. Am planning on popping into town later on and then onto my mates for dinner.

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Morning (just) to all and happy birthday racy red

I am having a fantastic day. Have just had my results from the last module I did at college and got top marks:j :j . Only 3yo DD here with me and she does understand why I am jumping around the room like a nut case and doesn't know what assignment means. Anyway, walked to starbucks for a celebratory hot chocolate (milk for 3yo) and cake. lunch time soon then planning a trip to costco. hope lo falls asleep in car on the way there and she can sleep all the way around the shop in the pushchair- will make the process much quicker:D

Also off out tonight to cheer up friend who has split up with her bf, leaving DH in charge of DD- an evening of freedom-can't wait
hope everyone has a good weekend

    Good Mornig everyone,
Well it must be Saturday as I have time to post, not much going on here, WM is on but thats about it, I had gas & water bills in today & both direct debits have gone up, so thats another £15 a month to find. Hubby did a couple of jobs to help his brother out & now we can't get paid for them. Just because we manage on my wage his brother seems to think we have money stashed away & don't need paying, so now we are £40 out of pocket!
We are going to visit a friend of mine tomorrow who is recently divorced, her hubby left 3 boxes of tools behind & has said he doesn't want them so we are going to be the grateful recipients.
I really must get on with some housework, so hugs to all who need them

  • Hello everybody :hello: and hugs to anyone who needs them. BIG HELLO to Yorkshire Chick - word of warning, we are all mad on here and pretty soon there will be no escape for you...:D

Well shopping done, flowers bought - should have gone to the cemetry yesterday as it was Dad's anniversary (30 years!) but as I'm still not so good OH said to leave it as he'll know I'm hnot ignoring him. Likewise Mum as I always take flowers to her spot as well on Dad's (and vice versa). OH stunned me today by stating "let's get some mince off the market so I can make shepherd's pie". Oh and he's fed the outside birdies too  I think he wants to watch the rugby though - so it's upstairs for me with columbo!!!

Good news. OH has got a couple of weeks admin work for a bloke he knows with his own business. He needs some help doing an audit so OH will be taking a packed lunch for the next two weeks. This as well as the place he did the contract for before Christmas ringing him up and asking if he would want a job there!! hurrah!! Now all I have to do is to finally put all my surplus avon/cross stitch stuff and anything else I can think of on e-bay and we'll be laughing.

Right, off to get some lunch.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Happy birthday Racyred!

I think i might have stored my seeds badly as nothing is coming up except for one butternut squash. Am going to go to lidl for some more seeds, sow them indoors and then replant my sqaure foot gardens if there is nothing there by the time the seedlings come up :( I bought a mushroom kit from aldi the other day so I'm going to sort that out. middle dd has invited me over for dinner tonight.

Sorted out the food cupboards today and found a tin of posh asparagus soup so that's what i'm having for lunch - but in a mug cos i have no class :)

ooh just got an email from my dbro to say that he is on Radio Wellington on wednesday - doing an interview and playing some songs. I must work out how to listen to it as i haven't heard his voice in almost a year. It will be interesting to hear his new accent. He ran away to holland at the age of fifteen - He's in his late thrites now - and lost his english accent totally then last year he emigrated to NZ so is speaking english a lot more but possibly with a NZ accent
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Hi everyone

Am still in my jimmies, having a very lazy time this morning though I did log on at around 2.00 am pondering whether to start today's daily or not....decided against it as I was too tired, lol!

Anyway, the main reason for my post is to wish RacyRed a fantastically happy birthday. Have a lovely day Racy, I hope you get spoilt rotten.

Once I get showered and dressed I'm going to nip up to Belfast to buy my bedroom furniture. Luckily one of my friends has volunteered to sit in my house to wait for the delivery, so that solves the problem of my having to be out at that awful w*r* place. She's so good, she's even going to drive my car to the MoT test centre as again I will be stuck at w*r* at the time I've been given. Talking of w*r* my week's holiday is over, and it's back to the coalface on Monday boohoo, I'm dreading it, really really want to find some way of supporting myself without having to fit in some stupid hierarchy or staff ranking system as I know how to behave, thank you...

OK I'm off now before I start to whine, have a fab weekend everyone.

    Afternoon :hello:

    Happy Birthday RacyRed!

Just a quick one from me today. My (under 3 month old) router has given up the ghost so I spent 2 hours this morning turning the flat upside down in search of the receipt. It would have to be the ONE receipt that wasn't with all the others! Found it in the end, and will pop into PC World soon, prob tomorrow. Thank goodness for that, I thought I was going to have to shell out another £70

Anyway, for now I'm sitting in my old house borrowing ex-housemate's wireless connection - wouldn't have bothered but really needed to check my email. I could have done that at the library, but had to come over here anyway to pick up a few odds and ends.

N9eav - hope DD is out of hospital soon.

    Must be off now

    Rzl xx

Happy Birthday Racyred and GardenMillie(?) Not sure if it IS your birthday Millie but you did mention going to see Swan Lake today for your birthday. Hope you enjoy it. Last time DD and I went to see Swan Lake in Manchester we were given our own private box as DD's seat was broken. She was in her element and kept getting up to walk about at the interval. She also managed to drop some of her sweets onto one poor woman's head. :o

Welcome yorkshirechick, it's always nice to see new people posting.

stefjb I planted some pepper seeds way back in September last year (don't ask me why I thought it was a good idea to plant seeds that late in the year  ). They are now sprouting and I have about 9 plants. It's still too cold to move them outside so right now I'm trying to find the warmest, sunniest spot in the house to keep them. I just hope things warm up soon as they need thinning out and planting into bigger pots. I don't have enough room in my house for that many!

Well, I have sorted out some books and put about 15 for sale on the Green Metropolis website. I'm a bit nervous as I've never sold anything on the web before. :undecided I'll just have to wait and see how popular they are.

Right, I really must get moving. Oh, and Shez consider yourself told off! ;):D
