So....the ex is now with a woman who will happily sh@g another woman's partner behind her back.

And she is now with a cheater.

I would say that you have already had your revenge! ;)

I do think that people who cheat, be they male or female, should have bits cut off them. However, it is illegal, and the law is not interested in ensuring fair retribution, other than to get yet another lump of money to amend their registers (as in the case of divorce).

If there was a castration vote for cheats (and the equivalent for females), I would vote for it.

However, as has been mentioned, she is now saddled with him. Think of the anguish you have gone through. She's going to go through all of that, possibly more, and it will be made worse by the fact that she knows she took on a male with a known record of cheating. Major doh!

It doesn't feel like it, but this is your chance to break free. Imagine if you'd been with him for another 10, 20 years. Because I'd lay money on his behaviour not changing. You'd have wasted even more time on this lost cause.

And with behaviour like this, he really isn't ensuring a lovely future for himself is he? He's grabbing stuff while he can, but at the end of it all, he'll be alone while surrounded by people who like cheats, and help them cheat. Really not the kind of people most would choose to keep company with.

    I wish you well.

Ok would just like to point out, I have no intention of actually doing any of this, but there is nothing wrong with day dreaming about it.

    !

I disagree. Whilst you are wasting energy even thinking about the pair of them, you could be doing something productive to improve your lot.

Wallowing in thoughts of revenge and bitterness will drag you down and prevent you moving on. I'm not saying it isn't tempting to wish for them to 'pay' for their crimes against you, just that it is counter productive.

Good grief OP don't be so childish, if you really want 'revenge' then go and find yourself a new man and flaunt him.;):D

Actually it would be more fun for you, and affect him more, if you made the most of your new found freedom and dated/slept with several new men! Nothing wrong in the modern day with playing the field before you settle down again.

I never claimed to be a lovely sweet person.
I do find it disturbing that there is an institution where you officially swear to be faithful, etc, and then there are no real legal repercussions if you do cheat.

In most other contexts, such publicly and officially sworn contracts would be upheld, with repercussions. But it's not convenient for society to uphold or pursue it, so the people left behind in broken families are simply expected to suck it and carry on.

Don't think that a civil court judge has ever ordered someone to be castrated, even for the most blatant breach of contract.

There are countries around the world that DO have such barbaric punishments for adultery, and I for one am thankful that I don't live in them.
