    Hi Hypno

Sorry for the late response but I just wanted to say sorry to hear about your DH’s Grandpa. My Grandad died last year, he was also 94, and the world is a much poorer place without him.

    Hi LJ and Piggin!!

Yes, a funeral on my birthday.....can't be helped I suppose. I am compensating by meeting the lovely Pania for a coffee in town. We are going to have a real treat - one very nice DFW'er has sent me a voucher for Costa Coffee, and we are going to pretend we are rich girls and have coffee and cake with no regard for calories or cost!!

So thank you - you know who you are xx

Then, the funeral is quite late in the afternoon, which I really don't like, because it means that the "wake" will drag on into the evening, meaning my birthday is a bit of a non starter....., but I am trying not to be selfish about it!

Got back from the prison (how strange it is to be typing that!) and have agreed to work full time - bonus is that I will be combining the elements of the part time, which had nice bits to it, and full time, which was a bit scary, to create almost the perfect job! The salary is not quite what I was hoping but it is still good enough for me! All waiting on security checks now, but I am expecting to start before the end of the month :D with a bit of  thrown in :o

Still got to buy new school trousers for DS - will head out late night shopping after dinner.

Still no housework done either, although DD has done the dishwasher, and I have posted the ebay parcel which kept me awake last night!

  • Hi Hypno, what a shame having the funeral on your birthday! Its the really early ones I hate! We had my great-uncles last December and it was 9.30 am. We were all back at the wake for 10.45 and starting on the drink then (I didnt, I was a driver) I had my aunt's funeral last Friday at 11 am, that was a bit better timing, but everyone was p*ssed by 2 pm. But maybe thats just my family?
PS Have you heard about the flood warnings on the east coast?

Have just come back from late night shopping. Got DS some new school trousers, but went to boots for some mouthwash and came out spending £52!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As it is my birthday (almost) I treated myself to some of that fab shampoo and conditioner that I had earlier in the year.

And I bought some perfume because I have not had any for over 2 years.......one of those things that I could not justify, and no one ever gets the hint for birthdays/Christmasses! I put some money in the current account to cover the car MOT today, but as it passed without a great deal of spending, plus we got the MOT cheap, I spent the budgetted money on ME!!!!!! Bad Girl.....Very Bad Girl.....Very Very Bad Girl :D

Not a bad girl! So you've bought yourself two bottles of conditioner in the whole year, that is hardly over indulging.

I hope it gives you more than £52 worth of pleasure and I also hope OH and the kids have something nice planned for you.

Are you going to be on here tomorrow so we can send greetings, or do we need to do it now?
