Thanks SSL!! Martin mentioned it in the email again today, so I have had another lovely flurry of PMs, and some more cartridges promised to me!!

I am going to go and make a hot water bottle, and get off to bed now. Tomorrow I need to have a bit of a housework blitz, although I only have a spare couple of hours so it will need to be a furious blitz!! On Friday, our lodger's boyfriend is arriving for the weekend from Norway, and I have to at least give the impression that I am an organised host mum!!

Well, I had the worst night's sleep for ages - all I kept thinking of was that I have to post an ebay parcel today. It was ridiculous - I *knew* that I couldn't get up and post the parcel at 2am, so *knew* I should just let it go and get some sleep, but for some bizarre reason, it wouldn't drop and it bothered me all night!!!

So, by the time I finally got into a deep sleep, it was time to get up! As a result I have a very heavy head. Grrrr.

The little car has its MOT today. Fingers crossed it doesn't need anything doing - I have now set up a monthly payment to a "car stuff" account, but it only has one month's contribution in it, which will pay for the MOT but won't cover any work! OH has had a good check and hasn't picked anything up so hopefully it will be good news.

oh my word, housework on here too, I've just been freaking out about my house. But I'm sorry you had such a bad sleep, that happened to me the night before last, not nice- hope it doesn't affect you too badly (now rushing off to check out taxi's thread)......

I have to have a bit of a blitz today - it is becoming just too much, and is a tad overwhelming at the mo! Will do a couple of hours on it even if it kills me today, and there will hopefully be a little difference by this evening!!

Well, I need to (as a minumum at some point in the course of the day)

• get the dishwasher loaded and on, unloaded when done.
• clear the kitchen surfaces including clean the cooker
• do the kitchen floor
• clear the kitchen table (no mean feat, this one)
• have a bit of a sort out in the dining room - lots of stuff here, and make room to put some of the stuff that is cluttering up the lounge
• sort out the piles of paperwork that have built up in the lounge, fallen over, got stood on, etc etc
• do 3 loads of washing
• get said washing dried and PUT AWAY
• put away the dry stuff that is just in a pile in my lounge at the mo
• hoover throughout the downstairs
• clean the downstairs cloakroom
• take recycling stuff out of the utility room, put it in the green bin which needs to be taken out for collection today.
• do something for dinner with a ready cooked roast chicken
• post the ebay stuff that kept me awake last night!

The above is an absolute minimum............and I don't have a HUGE amount of time, but I reckon I *should* be able to do it!

But of course, first comes the obligatory coffee.............just to give me the ooomph to get started

Good god! Thats a *scary* list, hypno! My measly two items, v bad..... okay, I have to think of some more I need to do. I'll certainly clean the top of my cooker, in fact I'll go soak it right now. See, you're a mum, you work, and you put me to shame!!!! Use the shame positively, guilt is not good, shame can be (oops, wrong forum....). Right, I'm off. Again. Bet I'm not....:p

but even after all of this, KC, my house will still be a tip!! This is just the tip of the iceberg - we have almost run out of food in the cupboards, and I need to get DS a pair of new trousers to wear for the funeral tomorrow. So really I should have done some of that before hand, but I just haven't!

There is a bad mother's thread on MSE somewhere.........I should be on the bad housewife's thread :rotfl:

oooh my gosh, i have an apology I totally forgot to get some flute music for you when I was at home this weekend - my dog's not very well so I was preocupied but its still no excuse. I'll be home again in three weeks time if you can wait that long? Again, I'm so sorry! x
