    Hi you lot!!

OH is going out for dinner tonight and DS is at a friend's house, so the rest of us have opted for sausage, egg, and chips - very nutritious  :rotfl: yum:D

I do feel a bit brighter today having faced the figures full on, and doing some number crunching and working round things - poor old Pania has had to listen to me go through all my options!!! I think she brought me the chocolate to try and shut me up for a minute :rotfl: (didn't work though, I went on......and on........and on.......!).

I have decided that I do not want a full time job of the sort that I used to have, but I do love the tutoring, so if that develops into something approaching full time then fine, if it stays at the odds and ends I do now then so be it for the time being, but by doing the PGCE, I am hoping to develop it further in due course.

So that is my goal, develop the tutoring into something more substantial, keeping clients, and other odds and ends alongside especially in the shorter term while tutoring picks up.

    There.....said it!!

That sounds like quite a big deal for you to lay it out like that, and that you're sort of surprised as well. I think with having so many irons in the fire, you're finding out that some of them are really good things to do, and some are just okay - how lovely that you *are* finding good ones.

I'm finished for the day, hurray, just got to post the first part of my sister's birthday card (its a big birthday, I'll send her two), then I'm done. Have a good evening, oh chocolate one (chocolate two, actually, since the choccy bar was Pania's).....

Evening Hypno...what a lot you have done..well done...I bet you feel better having got that lot sorted .I have every faith in you sorting everything out as you've always had the shortfall but have managed to pay £10k off in a year and am sure you'll do the same again

It is not entirely surprising to me, that I want to do the tutoring, - I suppose when I started thinking about whether I should look for a "proper job", most of the types of nice steady well paid jobs that I would have looked at in the past just had no appeal for me, and the tutoring just kept jumping up saying "me Miss, pick me, Miss!"

Tutoring, especially of the sessional type, is not going to be guaranteed, and is likely to be flexible, so fits in well with the self employment stuff.

It is nice when things develop into stuff you were not originally expecting though!

  • Would it be worth contacting the LEA to see whether you could pick up some work there? There are alot of disaffected young people who you may be able to do 1-1 with; a challenge but worthwhile!

  • *phew* Hypno, just managed to catch up on your diary - how many pages to read

Glad you managed to post your SOA and you do fantastically to raise that extra amount every month - you deserve a huge pat on the back for all of that, it must take some effort to keep at it.

I have two printer and two fax cartridges on my floor at work, when I get my butt into gear I will check the make and make sure they are of some use - I do shriek loudly at anyone who dares tries to put them in the bin so they are safely tucked in the corner with my shoes and various handbags I seem to acquire

Chin up and keep smiling x
