Perfectly put, lynsayjane:T
I'm 100% in agreement and I'm sure all hypno's other 'fans' will be too when they read what you posted.0 -

- have worked out we can't afford to eat - good for waistline
- have worked out we can't afford petrol - no need for a car then
- have had more coffee
Not a bad mornings "work" I suppose!
Yep, She Who Must Be Obeyed is on a roll again, folks - watch out the debts, they'll be gone. :T
Seriously, if even you can find new areas to save in through doing your soa, then any of us can. It gave me an idea, which sadly enough was a *bad* one - I've got an soa of my own sitting in an email to myself (I guess I'm too embarrassed to do my own diary, so I write to myself....) Anyway, I forgot to include my accountancy fees in that, so thats another £400 or so, rats. Which is another tenner a week. Which will wipe out the savings I make when I pay off some of my credit card from the "littlepotsofmoney" account when the interest free date runs out. Double rats. Well, hopefully thats the last bill I've forgotten.
Well, I'm off again. Two down, two to go. Hope this afternoon goes as well as your morning, hypno.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Just had coffee and a natter with the lovely Pania, who in all her loveliness bought me a bar of choccy
I have run out of steam a bit now - think I will have a cup of coffee to see if I can get myself moving again!!
Thanks for all your lovely lovely words - they certainly motivate me to keep going, I would be too scared to "fail" now for fear of what you lot would do :rotfl: :rotfl:
KC, I too hope that there are no more lurking bills in the background for you! I hope the energy levels have not been too sapped by your cold x

Hi Hypno
It was really brave of you to post your SOA, and it's true what others have said, you really are quite inspirational. Don't panic about the negative income, remember it has probably always been like that, and you have coped - it's just that you're now aware of it. But don't let it daunt you.
Do you use Freecycle at all? Sometimes people advertise 'car boot' lots, which obviously you could then sell on with a clear conscience - just wondered if that was an option, as you seem to do quite a few car boot sales.
Also, the letters that you wrote to companies, were they asking for money? I'm just wondering if you asked them to donate goods for you to sell or raffle to raise funds, they might be more willing to help?
Are you anywhere near any major venues? Could you do a bit of autograph hunting and get them on ebay? :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
LOL Snaggles - I may talk about doing lots of car boot sales, because that is always the intention....sort of......but whilst I always say "car boot at the weekend", in reality I have only actually done one this year.....and that was in AprilSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Hypno. I would be up for an ebay challenge next week as have spent a scary amount on baby clothes, not budgetted for and using my overdraft
Somehow I now have to find that money and ebay is as good a way as any. Not 100% sure what I will find to put on there as have ebayed loads in the last year but will find something - if nothing else should declutter the house some (more!).
When are you starting? What are the rules etc?0 -

Thanks hypno, I hope not too, what a silly one for me to have forgotten - shows how much I dislike paying it, I think! Glad you enjoyed your break with Pania, get that head of steam up again. And as for being scared to fail for fear of what we'd do - thats hysterical!Shows that fear can be a *good* thing tho (Karmacat suddenly shows her evil side, after all this time of being nice!).... :rotfl:

Aww hugs for you Mrs. You've done an awful lot of sorting today so no wonder you feel a bit low & exhausted.
I wish I had the answers for you but the only thing I can think of is for you to get a f/t job (which I know you dont want to) & the cars already going (which will make a big difference for you) so not much else you could do. Wish skiing was cheaper for you...its such an expensive activity but can understand why you want them to continue. Lovely pania to bring you choccy. Arent friends lovely! Mine have really made my day, despite cat trauma's people DO make the world go round. Huge squidgy "hang in there" hugs for you!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
