Hypno's kick up the backside debt diary....

Hi Inmyshell and welcome! I have come too far to give up now, so have no choice really but to keep going, despite the setbacks.
I was having a chat (ok, I was having a good old winge and a bit of a cry) with a friend earlier, and I tried to explain to her (she is the only one who knows the real extent of our debt, apart from OH and you lot) that I felt as though I should perhaps consider a DMP again, but that as I had got this far with just snowballing, I felt that I should continue.
Of course the DMP would have the benefits of having interest frozen, but would muck up my credit for the next 6 years, and if that was the way I wanted to go, I had the chance to do that 5 years ago! On the other hand, despite not having any defaults or CCJs, and being on top of all payments, I still can't get a current account, or a credit card for balance transfers anyway, so does having a trashed credit rating make any difference to me!
AAARRRGGHHH! I know that I will continue in the same way as I have, but today I have really found it to be exhausting, given that May is such a tight month anyway!
Sorry, I will be positive tomorrow (I promise).....:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
HI Hypno so sorry about ther insurance and all the other crap that's going on right now....sending you big hugs.....I agree you mustn't let them away with it and do need to take it further...I think a condition of using an ombudsman is to have dealt with the internal comp-laints first...send it in writing recorded delivery....hope things turn around for you soon...0

Hi Hypno
We are now half way through May and June is bound to be a better month for you with all the good work you have been doing.
Debt busting is really hard and it's only to be expected that you will have some bleak times - but look at the fact that you have paid of £6,000 already this year. And made £700 on ebay this week.
Ive said it before and I don't want to be creepy but I find you an inspiration and it's clear that lots of others do too.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Just finished the last client of the day, so now time to sit and relax before getting some sleep!
Tomorrow I am invigilating first thing before seeing clients and generally running around trying desperately to get some order in my life!! (some hope:rolleyes: ). I am determined to have a better day
Thanks everyone for your support today. It really meant a lot to me xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Afternoon all!
Well, nothing bad has happened today, other than reading about the guy who had his bank charges case go against him, which does make me feel a little wobbly given that I still haven't heard from the court, and the £4000 for my claim is quite a bit of cash that I could do with right now!
Apart from that, I have done a bit of invigilating this morning, a bit of work, and now am cooking dinner before my next client at 5.30, after which I will be taking the kids race training in the rain!!
I was naughty and bought myself a bit of a treat today when I was out - I felt really "bad" doing so and as a result even had a little smile. So, what did I buy???? Shoes? New dress? shed load of chocolate? No, I bought some shampoo!!!!!
I usually buy whatever is cheapest but actually bought myself A BRAND NAME
And what's more, it wasn't on offer  No BOGOF, no vouchers, nada:o
So, it felt really really naughty. But it felt really really good :T

haha, I always love to buy nice shampoo and conditioner for a treat - my hair always seems so much more glossy than with others
you're doing great, remember that.

And, no one else can use it, because it says in great big letters "for brunette hair (chocolate to espresso)" and I am the only brunette in the house.
By buying this one, I also satisfy my need for chocolate and coffee as well. Well, if it mentions both on the tube, it must be a sign.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
