Ooh yes LJ please count me in. (although of course if anyone from the anti-terror squad is reading my diary, it's only a joke. honest. really. yes, a joke. an absolutely made up fictional type scenario)

Vanessa - don't worry, I don't think I will get my fabby new shampoo muddled up with my stardrops!

    Hi hypno

I'm so glad to hear nothing bad happened today - and that you found the money in your tight May budget for some nice shampoo. Chocolate to expresso, I like the sound of that. Better than the henna I bought (before lbm of course) called Caca - delightful!

Lynsayjane, please can you also blow up my neighbour's cat, which has just killed an entire nestful of baby great tits in my garden.

Well, I washed my hair with it this morning and amazed myself at how excited I got about some new shampoo. I must have been doing DFW for too long :o

I have done a couple of hours invigilating this morning and need to go to the bank to pay a cheque in (yippee) in a little while. I am hoping to get feedback on my big ebay sale this morning, then I can transfer the sale proceeds out of Paypal. Don't want to tempt fate by moving them too early.

So, so far so good, in a cautious sort of way! Still got lots of mystery shopping to do, but it looks like rain, so hoping that the weather brightens up a bit before I go out.....

I think that's one of the joys of being a DFW - you really start to appreciate the smaller luxuries like shampoo, whereas before they were the norm!

Goodness knows what we'll be like when we get to the point of being able to just spend £100 on a pair of shoes or something? I'll probably go into meltdown!

Re invigilating, well I just rang up the local high school and asked if they needed anyone! It is not exactly the most exciting job in the world, but on the other hand it pays reasonably well as an hourly rate, is not stressful in any way (bonus) and is local to me so takes just a few mins to get there. It is giving me a much needed £70-100 a week during exam season, and once you are on their "books" it seems that you get offered work throughout the year - SATS, mocks, GCSEs etc. Of course, universities need invigilators too so might be worth approaching them too.

Plus, I get to confiscate mobile phones and hand out pencils and calculators :D
