DS is still coughing nicely at night. He seems to sleep through it thank goodness, but I don't manage to! Oh well, joys of being a mum! He has his SATS this week so I hope the cough goes before the end of the week, otherwise he will be exhausted!

I have a day with no invigilating today so will be doing a fair bit of my mystery shopping marathon and going for coffee at a friend's house. Hopefully yesterday's good news on the ebay front, coupled with an increase in new clients, will motivate me to keep going. I feel so much better than I did last week. It's amazing how quickly things can change for the good, and the not so good.

I hope everyone has a good day x

    Morning Hypno! :hello:

Haven't been online for a while so am just catching up with your news now, how fab about the ebay items!! That is a truly wonderful sum isn't it, and I'm sure you said it wouldn't fetch more than 99p when you listed it didn't you :p  !!! I love catching up with your diary as I find it very inspirational. Did you sort out the ebay item that the buyer said was faulty? We are in a similar position, know it was working when we sent it off...

Big pat on the back to you hun... off for a :coffee: now xx

Morning ATB, we haven't heard about the "faulty" item - I am hoping that he just put the wire in the wrong plug or something as I know for sure that it was working before and I will be devastated to have to refund. Oh well, the ball is in his court now, I can only wait to see what happens.

I hope you get your dispute sorted too. Hassle we can all do without!

The :coffee: idea sounds like a superb idea. Off to put the kettle on......:D

Ok, as I just said less than an hour or so ago, how quickly things can change.....

the postman has just brought me the news that my insurance claim will not pay out a single penny for my stolen baggage. I am gutted because my friend who I travelled with has had her claim settled in full!

Just been on the phone to them and they say they will not budge. I need to work out what to do next because this is just not fair. I am out of pocket, have lost my stuff, had to spend the last day of my holiday doing police forms etc etc etc and have been told to stuff it!

Sat here in tears now, why is life like this?

Oh Hypno honey I am so sorry I really dont know what to say, but of course, huge virtual hugs coming your way. what is their reasoning for not paying out? Is there an ombudsmen that insurance companies are regulated by that you can complain to? Please dont cry hun, these things are sent to test us and as much as it seems like there are times when we are always tested, it is important to try and stay focussed and positive.

Its not too early for some choccy I'm sure, get a cuppa and take some deep breaths. I have to nip offline now but will be back on later this morning to check in on you, feel free to PM me if you want to offload.

    Thinking of you xx

Oh hypno, you poor thing. Life is certainly a roller coaster. Why won't they pay? Surely they have to! After all this is exactly what travel insurance is for! Make them explain the reason and perhaps there's a way round it.

Well done on the ebay items though - that is a tremendous amount. I hope the other buyer has indeed backed down.

Good news on the new clients too - well done. You'll get there and while it might not be much comfort on a down day, you are helping lots of others along their way too.

OH no Hypno - I'd echo about getting the ombudsman involved, especially with your friend getting her claim sorted. Hugs to you hon.

Thanks guys. I just feel so !!!!!! right now. I have to take this claim further - I haven't done anything wrong. They say that I left my baggage in a public place so it is not covered. It was not a public place, but a locker room for the apartment that we had been in all week. It is private property and unless a member of the public went through double doors, through the corridor, up the stairs and through another door, I cannot see how it can be public.

My friend's insurance accept that it is private property for the use of the apartments only, so why won't mine?

Still no news from the court re Barclays. I am definately in limbo land as far as that is concerned. I wish that the papers would drop on my door mat and then at least I could take it to the next stage. However, the way things are at the moment, I am sure the court are going to use me as a Test Case for bank charges.....

I'm going out now to have a coffee with a friend. Back later. Thanks for your help x
