Ahh there you go. Actually I am the same. I offer help all the time but whenever anyone offers me it, I shy away.
Think I am too used to being the 'strong independent one' - the coper, the one who will always get by, y'know? It feels weird accepting help.
But if someone just comes along and does it, or 'takes over' (like fiancé's Mum has with the garden) I won't get in their way! They can't offer money to help (and I wouldn't take it anyway!) but if they have the time and want to be busy and see an end result....then who are we to deny them?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Well, essay all written, emailed over to my tutor and a hard copy taken just in case technology lets me down!
I don't really know why I put it off for so long - it seemed quite ok really!
Off to bed now, work again tomorrow followed by college so need to get some sleep.

Well done on the essay, hypno.
And just for the record, I have no problem accepting help if anyone, anally retentive or not, would like to come and clean my house!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Morning!
Firstly, I just missed your last post P, sorry, I haven't heard from JCD. Hopefully she will just be spending time with the new pet mouse! I saw that you have posted on her diary - I will do the same to bump it up a bit!
Well, during the night I developed a horrid sore throat. Typical. I really do not want a cold right now - I have too much to do! I have to go to work and college today and I will be buying strepsils on the way, somewhere!
Hope everyone has a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning hypno! Can colds be spread through DFW? Maybe you should back away from your screen a bit when you post
Have a good one - and hope you nip the cold in the bud if you do have one.

Don't worry, I think computer viruses are different things altogether!
How's life with you......have you done that cupboard under the stairs yet (see, I can nag, whatever the topic)?????Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Life with me is hectic as ever! I shouldn't even be here, I should be on the road, but it's nice and warm here...
Cupboard will be done - it has moved from my 'someday/maybe' into my 'actions@home' folder (in-joke for gtd'ers).
I'm dreaming that there is a letter from Mint stuck in the post that is offering all of my money backoh, and a whole load of other cheques etc - no bills though.
Relieved that my haircut (yesterday) is ok after hairdresser admitted to have just taken her diazepam (I could see the packet)
Anyway, this is your diary threadLooks like you're doing good! I would invite Pania round for cups of tea so she could pass on your matched betting training when she's in Northampton, but the OH wouldn't be too impressed...
