Ugh to the sore throat-lots of fluids and TRY for some rest-Blame all those 'orrid students for breathing their germs around.
Off to London for the day-coffee in the West End with a friend from another forum (Yes there are other forums :D) and then up to the London studios to watch Paul O'Grady (or rather his guest today :) ). Pania I've skipped the casarole in favour of a Starbucks ;) Not a no spend day but should be nice for less than £15 total (I hope !!)

  • Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit under the weather, hypno. Sending you a big virtual hug. I always end up with a sore throat when I'm over-tired(not through talking too much as DH sarcastically remarks!) and you must be mega-tired with all that you pack into each and every day. It could be nature's way of telling you to slow down a bit. Maybe you also had to do a lot more talking than usual because of your bar job at the weekend. Anyway, I hope the Strepsils help.

Congrats too on getting the essay done:j . Now the first one's out of the way you'll find the rest a doddle.

I'm amazed that with the multitude of brilliant money-saving ideas that you manage to come up with you haven't been using an outdoor washing line for yonks:eek: . Tumble dryers cost a fortune to run(as my DH is forever reminding me) and I only ever use mine in the direst emergency, such as 3 feet of snow outside and nothing clean left to wear:rotfl:

Have a good day and put your feet up tonight!!!!!

I did have a washing line, then we put the cabin in the garden for me to work in, and the washing line had to go.

It was one of those jobs that just needed "getting round to".....seem to be too many of those in my life!

Hopefully now that the washing line has made an appearance, it will get used. But not today because the forecast is for rain rain rain!!

Duchy I hope you have a good day up West!

I've been a bit rubbish at keeping up with MSE recently - my eyes have been sore and I've been busy at work so I've tried not to use the computer at home too (off to get my eyes checked out tomorrow) but we're a bit quieter at work so I've been having a catch up.

    Firstly congratulations on getting to £10000 and £1000 - that's great :j :j :T

Also well done with all the tidying - when OH was away I did a pretty good job with tidying and I'm now getting into a routine - I know it's stupid for a 'grown up' but I'm going to do a tick list sheet so when somethings done I can tick it off - makes me feel better!

Hope college and the teaching and stuff is going well - don't know why I thought of this now but did anything ever come of those recordings you were doing?

Better keep catching up but sounds like things are going great so far with the skiing money - the 2nd hand clothing sale sounds like a great idea.

    bye for now

Hi YL, just popping on before I leave work to go to college.

Yes, the recordings are still "work in progress" lots of editing, background music, etc etc, but we are getting there. Early days still.

My throat is still sore.....and my head aches. I could do without going to college, but obviously missing a week this early on is not a good idea at all - especially after all the effort I went to getting that bloomin essay done :rotfl:

Anyway, may catch up later this evening, unless I just crawl straight up those stairs!! Back at the Uni again in the morning.....

Hope you have all had a good day, and that you have a good evening xx

HYPNO! O-M-G! look at that total of yours, it's growing so quickly. Well bloomin done missus! :T:T:T:T:T

After searching high and low, I can't find the cartridges I wanted to send you. I have however harassed my friends to hand over any they come across so I can pass them on to you for the kids.

RE the house cleaning. Shoosh your noise woman, there's nowt to be ashamed about. Everybody struggles from time to time and we all need help from our nearest and dearest for even little things.

So. I propose you have a girls night in, a 'Housework Party' if you will. I've organised 'Painting' parties before where I round up a bunch of friends to come to another friends house to help them decorate for the night.

Some cheap booze, some smart price mini sausage, a farmfoods frozen chocolate gateaux for sharing and some music, and you're good to go!
    G'wan.
