No she came round when I was at work and everyone else was round. She cut the grass, dug the borders, started clearing the pond and did the washing line.........

Like I say, sometimes I feel pretty inadequate...but there was no dust anyway because I got rid of it yesterday

Evening Hypno and all..I'm not joining the housework challenge..lol..as I'll be at work friday but I promise to try and do some wednesday when I'm off...I'm just about keeping up with the washing!!!..
Sorry about DD not winning..what a shame and what a wonderful friend you have..helping out so much...it's so hard a womans works never done is it?...good luck with the essay

Evening Taxi, another busy day?

We have to go to the supermarket in a mo - DD is doing cooking tomorrow and I have none of the required ingredients!!! At least she is cooking lasagne, so it can be eaten by them all at dinner time - saves me cooking later.

Actually, really good job, because I will be going straight from work to college, so no time tomorrow for me to cook......or eat! Best get some chocolate in to keep me going

Well, back from Tesco, and the best thing I can say about the amount I ended up spending is, thank goodness clubcard points make deals!!!

Oh well! I did buy one of those powersaver thingies that you put the tv, dvd player in etc, and when it goes on standby when no one is bothered to turn it off properly, it doesn't waste any electricity. Hopefully it will do exactly what it says on the box, and save us a shed load of money - our gas and leccy bill is £149 a month which is huge, and this combined with my new washing line will hopefully help to bring that down a bit!

I have been thinking about posting an SOA, after Snaggles said that everyone was really nice. I might start a second diary a la IA soon because this one is getting rather long. Perhaps i will start that one off with an SOA for you all to laugh at.

Perhaps.......

Now on to do that bloody essay!

I was thinking about some of the things you said yesterday and you know, you are doing SO so much regarding debt clearing, working Lord knows how many jobs now (I have lost touch with it!) as well as being a Mum, EBAY-ing, essaying and bucket loads of other stuff.

I am guilty if having a house that some people call me anal for (I'm not - really I'm not!) but I only work one job and I have no life right now due to no funds. And I have no kids! Or a foreign student/lodger!

So give yourself a break and just accept that your mate has more time (and probably less debt?) than you and let her do what makes her happy....it'll be great for you in the end.

The washing line...God send! I hear the weather will be pants tomorrow but towards the end of the week a high pressure will be coming in - so save some washing till after Wednesday I think!

Thanks LA, what you say makes perfect sense. My friend only works one hour a day (dinner lady) and has no debt, has savings in the bank etc etc so is in a very different situation to me.

And anyway, you are not anally retentitve. Just very tidy. Very very tidy!! (and I am just jealous!!!)

I suppose I am just not used to getting help without asking for it. Come to think of it I am not used to asking for help!!
