  • You are both putting me to shame. I haven't moved from the computer yet!!
Was thinking about using time off work to declutter house but so far all I've done is put some tricycles and small bikes on freecycle. House is clean and tidy as had a viewer yesterday - but have a mountain of ironing that we hid in the car while they came!

Benben....12 o'clock check in it is!

Choco, why are we putting you to shame - you have said that your house is clean and tidy because you had a viewer yesterday! If mine was at the stage where I only had to hide the ironing, I would be mightily impressed with myself!! Put your feet up - you need the rest hun x

Actually, your post reminded me of the time when OH "tidied" up before a viewer in our first house - he put a dirty saucepan in the oven to hide it rather than wash it. Needless to say, when I discovered it many weeks later (couldn't afford anything that needed cooking in the oven at the time - we were on pasta, beans and soup!), it almost walked out of the house itself!!

Right, off to do some more kitchen clearing!

Honestly, the things you hear on this forum! :rotfl: walking saucepans! :rotfl: Sound like mine, actually.

Duchy: I've abandoned the family history for ages, but have to do a bit next week, for my mum, and also cos while I'm up there I've arranged to meet a very distant elderly relative: my great great great grandmother and his great great great great grandmother were sisters!!!! Washerwomen in Liverpool in the mid1850s, talk about a hard life. Their saucepans certainly *didn't* know how to walk! Where are you up to in all this?

How're you getting on Hypno ???? I've got all my paperwork sorted and have also managed to paint my nails, cancel a magazine trial / subscription that I took through quidco and cancelled the insurance that came with my phone (another 3 month trial), have filled in forms to register me at the doctors, have finally written back to Tesco and sent them the receipt for the car cleaning ... only thing I haven't managed to do was pay the final electricity bill from the old supplier, I have lost the bill :o I know it was about £50, but I'm not sure whether I already paid it :o I will need to go and read through my diary and see if I put in there anywhere whether I paid it or not  :D
Now I'm gonna get some lunch and then I need to decide whether to spend this afternoon sorting my pressie box for Christmas or to get some stuf on ebay ;)

well, I have almost finished the kitchen - it was/is a bigger job than I anticipated, but it does look a whole lot better than it has done for ages.

One load washed and dried, another load in the machine now. Dishwasher has been on, emptied, and refilled.

I have just stopped for coffee and biscuits that someone gave us. Then I will finish the kitchen and make a start on the lounge. Then when that is done I will start my essay! I don't think the lounge will take too long, but then I didn't think the kitchen would!!

I haven't even started to think about the paperwork - I think that will just have to wait until later in the week.

    Hi P! Hi LA!

LA, if you have ever seen the state of my house, you will know that it will take more than one day of manic housework to get it presentable!

Pania HAS seen my house, and I hers. Nuff said ;)

How are you P? Hope you are feeling a bit better?

I agree, LA, about the great great great family stuff. It's a small world!
