Hey hypno, hey all fangrrrls
Duchy! Your cat came back!!! I'm really pleased for you, I wonder where she was.........
Hypno, sorry you didn't get your lie-in, but I'm glad your plan is a combination of clearing space and doing the essay, that sounds good.
I've got a list of emails a mile long to do, as I'm going offline nearly all of next week (sob!) going to see my mum - she wants me to show her some family history websites at the local library, so I'll show her mse too - and thats the only mse I'll get next week! Can't even sit on here the rest of the day - *another* mystery shop is calling.
Byeeee!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Have a good day KC, good news on the mystery shops - mine have dried up a bit  Enjoy the Marilyn thing too
As for being without MSE for a week  I found it hard enough for 48 hours!!! Hope to see you back soon enough, by which time I will have a calm and tranquil house.....hmm, well, I can dream can't I!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I could never essay write in clutter either. Seems to be a mature student thing though-doesn't seem to bother "traditional" students
My home was always at its tidiest and cleanest when I had an essay to do. Not sure how much of that was not wanting to work in clutter and how much was essay avoidance!0 -

I think you have hit the nail right on the head there Choco!!
But, it is now 9am, my coffee cup is now empty, so I am going to do 1 hour of housework, before I put the kettle on again.........back at 10
Choco, I hope you have managed to get some sleep these last few days and are starting to feel a little brighter xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Well, first hour is up, and I have done loads but it just doesn't look like it!
I got a bit carried away with the cupboard under the sink - the one where I keep containers, flasks, measuring jugs etc. Except it was so full that everything was piling up on the worktop.
So after a clearout I have discovered that there are really only so many empty margarine tubs that one person needs:o I know that when I batch cook, OS style for the freezer I use tubs, but really, I think I had far more tubs than I had freezer space! So most of them have now been binned.
Same goes for empty sauce jars/coffee jars/jam jars etc......So a bag for the bottle bank has been filled.
As a result, that particular cupboard is now far more ordered, and the stuff that should go in there CAN go in there. The worktops have been started, but still there is a long way to go.
But, coffee is made, and I will give myself until 10.30 before I get started again.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
well done you !! I've done more in the last hour than I did all day yesterday too ... I had a shower, put away all the ironing, tidied the floor in my bedroom, put somw washing on, emptied the dishwasher, refilled the dishwasher and am catching up again on here now
I will get going again in a minute and I want to sort the mountain of paperwork next ... file it, bin it, or whatever, but it has to go somewhere !! I also need to pay a few bills online too. I shall report back at 12 o'clock ....Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
