I was annoyed yesterday because I missed the chance for a load of mystery shopping while we were without internet. And of course the compensation for mental cruelty is immeasureable - I mean, I ended up doing HOUSEWORK for goodness sake :rotfl:

I feel your pain. That new Grassroots site really rubs in what you've missed out on doesn't it !!
Having a rotten day-one of the cats has been missing since Tuesday-rung all the usual places-no joy-ringing the unusual ones later, gas card has gone into hiding-I saw it yesterday and now it has vanished so no hot water heating or cooking til it's found (and son broke the toaster this week too GRRR)

Yes Duchy, you are right about the grassroots site!!

Hope the cat turns up soon, and also the gas card  although very moneysaving!!

Choco, yes £10000 was my original target, so I am most happy to have achieved it in good time, and if I didn't have this daft ski idea running, I could probably still do the £15000 but that is out of the window now.

Hypno burnout, yes, it is always a possibility, and one that has happened more than once before. I am becoming more aware now, and listening to myself a bit more (only a bit though!!) so am more careful. Had you known me a couple of years ago, you would have been terrified at the way I pushed myself then, so in comparison, this is a walk in the park!!

anyway, Choco, the words "pot" and "kettle" come to mind here :rotfl:

hope you are feeling better today xx

    Thanks Hypno
One down (card is found) One to go -although actually I'd rather have found the cat than the gas card as she isn't replaceable.
Actually your diary is probably the best protection against burn-out (if you allow it to be :) )

Glad the card has been found - know what you mean about the cat though.

Yes, my diary has saved me from many a burnout. One of the reasons that I am here so much I think.

  • Good afternoon Hypno and all her readers:beer:

Gosh Hypno, you don't think your to do list contains much! It made me feel giddy with fatigue just contemplating the amount there is on it. Don't take on too much, pencil in a bit of 'you' time somewhere in your hectic schedule and put it in your diary. But I don't suppose there's any point telling you to slow down is there? You're a woman on a mission and an example to all us procrastinators:o .

What I really came on here to do was to post this about a chocolate-tasting event at Waitrose.
    http://www.chocolate-week.co.uk/index.php

I immediately thought of you, although now you've given up chocolate for the duration you've probably lost the taste for it:rotfl: . The Norwich branch is participating, I've checked. just make sure if you go to taste you don't then go on to part with any cash and buy:eek:

    Hey hypno.

HUGE congratulations on those £1k & £10k figures that you have reached - totally fantastic. I am completely gobsmacked at the speed in which you reached the skiing one especially I must say.

Do look after yourself - although I can appreciate when you have the bit between your teeth and you can see debt falling (and ski totals rising!) then it is hard to put the brakes on.

Just listen to your body if nothing else, ok?

    Take care.

Well, shift in the bar is over, and my feet are hurting just a tad!! After tax and stuff it will only bring me in about £25, but that is £100 a month, which is £300 before Christmas! So must be worth doing!!

Pizzas in the oven - healthy nutritious meal all round  but really what better for a Saturday evening!

OH will take the kids to the ski race tomorrow so I get the day to recharge, blitz, write that essay, whatever. I am sure I will have time for a coffee or two.

Thanks Imp for posting about the chocolate week......it is in my diary!!

I hope everyone else is having a good weekend xx
