Hi there, I've never actually posted on these boards before so here's my first one! Having read your dilema, I'm sure you've made the right decision. At the end of the day, a debt is a debt, and they need to be sorted, and thats the right thing to do, but if its an inheritance off your father, even though I didn't know him, Im sure he would have wanted you to enjoy it rather than let it get swallowed.
Your strict plan, and disciplined approach will see you beat your debt, so enjoy your holiday!

hi moz and welcome to DFW and to my diary - hope you will post more in the future!
P, don't worry about the flowers - I loved them! I was merely commenting that I never get flowers - no one buys them because either they don't care or they can't afford them!!
Then after a drought of having no flowers when I really wanted them, to brighten the house up, I got masses all in one go for a thing that I didn't want anything for!
I like flowers for happy things, birthdays, I love yous, helping a friend with matched betting and stuff...........and achieving a tidy room!!
Sadly, none of those nice things happen to me very oftenespecially the tidy room one!! Birthdays happen more often, but OH still hasn't got the message, even after 22 years together!!

Well done on the housework Hypno. That sounds an amazing achievement and so you didn't' do the essay, well never mind, noone can do everything.
elantan I would love to join you for a housework challenge, but I can't do it tomorrow as I am out at work. If you're doing it another time please give me a shout.
OH and I are just off to pick up a dishwasher from a generous freecycler. I so hope it works (it has been in storage for 4 years), I seem to spend a good hour a day washing up.
Hypno the two things I am ebaying for the ski fund are up to £38 with 5 hours to go and 20 watchers each! Let's hope the price goes up a little more and maybe they will even account for another box filled in.
Right off to get the dishwasher. See you later ladies.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
