hi Hypno, glad the meeting went well, did you pick up any useful tips or info for us disorganised self-employed types?

It really is one of those things I CAN do myself - but never get round to, so for me the discipline of having someone breathing down my neck is probably the important aspect!

This afternoon I have some surveys lined up that I need to get on with, then more clients late afternoon and into this evening!

Oh, and I have to post a parcel for an amazon book I have sold. should make a whole £ out of that one!!

I sent all my paperwork off to the accountant in July (or maybe even June) and still have heard nothing. I'm quite annoyed as I'd really like to know how much tax I have to pay in January.

Accountants and IFAs.... people say how helpful they are but all the ones I've come across have been either dodgy or useless.

Well, finally done all my clients for the day - thankfully tomorrow is much quieter - I need the time tomorrow to get some more admin done, and I have a queue of surveys needing finishing by the end of the day so will be aiming to do those in the morning.

Spends were kept to a minimum today which helps - I will still admit them to my spending diary though, because they could have been even more minimum with a bit of extra effort.

So, tomorrow is another day, and almost half way through the month! I have the next batch of loan payments etc going out on 15th, but I am relying on the student's money to be paid in, and as yet it hasn't been  I may have to do some serious thinking tomorrow in order that things don't bounce!!

  • Morning Hypno, just wanted to say I hope you have a lovely and productive day. You have inspired me to raid some more free money from Quidco, thanks hun. I signed up to Chitchat bingo, no deposit needed, but tracking reliability is low, anyway fingers crossed! x

    Morning!

Well, I overslept this morning, so as a result (because no one else has the ability to set an alarm clock) everyone else overslept too. So a little mad flurry of activity in the Hypno household, including me giving the children money to get school lunches because no time to make a pack up

So my oversleepiness has cost me £4!!!!! What an expensive half hour's sleep!!

Anyway, they have gone to school and work etc now, so back to a little "normality".

The reason I overslept, was because I have lost my diary - yes, my new "put everything in" diary - and all through my sleep I was retracing my steps to try and work out where I have left it!

I am fairly sure it is in the house somewhere, but I'll be blown if I can find it!

I wouldn't mind - but the "piles" are reducing around the house, and I STILL can't find something important - so much for trying to be organised!!

    Hi hypno

Bouncy loan payments........ not after all your hard work, no, thats not fair. Hope her money turns up soon.

Interesting that she's said she's prepared to chase you - I've never, in 20 years of self employment, found that. I.e., if thats true, she's an absolute jewel, don't let her go!

Me, I'm not so good today. Was up at 3am in pain - how people with chronic pain cope I have no idea. Got onto the web and it screamed out to me (well, the computer was on mute, but you know what I mean:rotfl: ) - it was a migraine brought on by eating huge chunk of cheese yesterday evening. That'll learn me. It'll be a long, long time before I eat cow's milk cheese again. And the builder's suppliers have let them down, so the porch isn't up. I'm off to London at midday, so fortunately none of this will matter to me for the rest of the day.

Hope your quiet day *is* nice and quiet - do you sit somewhere nice and comfy with the laptop? Coffee IV? Enjoy...

  • Oh hun I'm sure it will turn up somewhere, probably where you least expect it! Grab yourself a cuppa and have a good long think x
