Oh I know what the name change is about (she said self-importantly)!!!

Martin is writing a consultation paper about debt and mental health, and a few people commented on the descriptions of the various levels of posting. I think its a subject close to his heart, so he's obviously taken it on board immediately.

Progress in Karma-land. The porch is going up as I speak, the double glazing firm have responded to my complaint with a phone call to arrange an inspection (I missed the call, was working, but still, they *responded*). Feel as overwhelmed as usual, but gfk haveoffered me a mystery shop, and if the rest of the morning goes this well, I may accept it for today. If its gone by the time I get back to the site, so be it.

But I quite liked being a Mad Maverick :o Oh well, Geek it will have to be, although that implies that I know stuff, and I so DO NOT!!

I am glad that the porch is going up, and as you say, at least you have a response re the lintel, so a step in the right direction.

If I were you I would grab the mystery shop - you don't have to do it today, just commit to it. They normally disappear pretty quickly.

I hope you have a good day, and that the "overwhelming" element soon gets into balance x

You're right :o off to grab it now. I've booked it for Monday morning, the timing is going to be tough as my mother's arriving from my sister's, but at worst she can watch me fill in the questionnaire while we sit at some cafe. And she's fascinated by computers, so she'll love watching me input the data (I hope).......

  • Good Morning Hypno and all your readers.

I haven't been online for a couple of days and there was so much fun and hard work going on in the posts I've had to catch up on. Thanks for the light-relief, I was badly in need of some! Good Luck with the accountant. My Dad was self-employed and I remember the visits of his accountant with fondness. The chap looked and acted just like Captain Mainwaring on Dad's Army(in his day-job of Bank Manager) but before he left he always gave my brother and I a couple of toffees:j . He probably wouldn't dare these days(if he were still alive), he might be suspected of being a paedophile or something:eek:

Have a profitable and enjoyable day y'all.

    Hi Hypno

Just a quick suggestion with the LoveFilm trial - I did the free trial, cancelled it, and then got an email trying to tempt me back with the promise of 3 months for the price of 1. So if you want to keeping using the service for a while, it might be worth a try cancelling and seeing if you get the email offer to rejoin? If you don't get it then it should be easy enough to just rejoin anyway.

    *hopes that made sense*
  • i have just had that email off lovefilm after cancelling my free trial last week

Well I finally managed to get some sleep for the first time in about three weeks! The pain is somewhere in the stratosphere (along with my stress levels!) and I could be homeless in a couple of days!

Other than that things are looking pretty good 4_1_209.gif I am getting a load of things sorted out (shame my weight isn't one of them! I will get back on to concentrating on that when the house is sorted!) - now if I could just track down the doctor ....................

Thanks for that tip - I will cancel next week and see what they say!! Definitely worth a try!

Well, the accountant has been and gone, and it seems I am not so much of a hopeless case!

I have to send over my existing spreadsheets for her to manipulate into a format that suits her and then away we go!

I told her that I need bullying into doing stuff, so that I do not fall behind. she says she is very good at setting deadlines and chasing them, so that is good!!

Right - need another coffee now!!
