Morning all! I do feel a little more awake than I did yesterday, which has to be a good thing because I have lots to do today!!

yorkielass - the bingo is dead easy to do, but the only frustrating thing is the cashflow element of it. EG you deposit £10 to get back £30. Pretty good, but as you will probably lose your initial £10, unless you are lucky on the bingo (I never am!) you have to wait 2 or 3 months to get the cashback from quidco or topcashback etc. So you are spending out £10 now to get £30 (so £20 profit) back in a few months time.

So if you do 5 bingo sites for the cashback, you are spending out £50 now, but you won't get cashback until probably November, now - although you should eventually get back about double what you originally put in!

Matched betting, however, is a much quicker turnaround - your money is likely to only be tied up for a week to 10 days, so cash flow wise is much easier to live with!

Hi ATB, TBH, it would have been difficult to feel less brighter today!! I was so so so tired yesterday - I was worse than useless!!

Re the Lovefilm trial - we have kept it on for a few weeks, simply because we are using it, and it is a way of encouraging the student to come and sit with us downstairs rather than shutting herself upstairs - she is feeling a bit homesick so this is helping in some small way. Our own DVD collection is pretty non existant so this is not a bad way of doing it. I know that I should be "stoozing" and when I have got my head around it I will cancel lovefilm and do one of the other free trials!

  • Thanks for that. I think I will just go for the free trial with them, but what a great idea to encourage the student, I hope it is working and she is feeling a little less homesick. Right, work beckons (yawn). Have a lovely day xx

OMG! In my drive to become organised, I have arranged for an accountant to come and see me tomorrow lunchtime

I am getting confused with all these "pots" of income coming in, and worried that I won't be making the most of my allowances etc. So I thought it would be worth having someone who knows what they are talking about, to come and look at my spreadsheets and scribbles and to try and point me in the right direction!

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!

This will either be a wonderful idea and you'll get lots from it, or you will spend the rest of you life living in fear of the accountant!!

Good luck and I hope it all goes ok.

  • Glad you're feeling better Hypno.

And best of luck with your accountant, they can be quite useful and MSE, especially for self-employed people like yourself. :D
