Well, another day done, and a little more money in the pot :T Tomorrow is less stressful - interview for the Cert Ed in the morning followed by a picnic with a friend while we watch the children ski, and then I have to take DD to see Girls Aloud which is her birthday treat, as she doesn't get a party any more! I couldn't afford more than the two tickets so no friends tagging along, just me and DD - we will take a picnic and hope for good weather.

  • Good luck for your interview in the morning! Girls Aloud - I am really jealous, I know it seems sad for someone of my age but I really like them!

LOL - I am sure I will enjoy it really, but I am a bit gutted that I will miss the final of Big Brother. How very sad is that!!!

I have just been having a tot up of extra money made in August - £290 just from quidco and topcashback - now that is not bad!! Matched betting, casino bagging and bingo bonuses have been a nice little earner too. Hope it continues into September!

    Hi Hypno

I read your earlier post as you were having a picnic with Girls Aloud....I was thinking 'oooooh, get you', lol!

That will teach me to skim instead of giving MSE my full attention. :D:D

How are you feeling? You sound a bit brighter today.

    hi P and Snaggles!!

Now, if it was a picnic WITH girls aloud, I think OH would be volunteering to take my place ;)

P, if I bring my ironing round, would you do mine too? I don't have THAT much - honest :o I have to admit that I am flaked on the sofa now, finished clients at 8.15, having started at 9.30 so enough is enough! The ironing board is up, and the ironing pile placed strategically next to it, but that is as far as I have got! How is OH's thumb today?

I do feel brighter today, thanks Snaggles. I think it is just that we are in this for such a long haul, that we cannot realistically expect ourselves not to have down days about the whole thing. Sadly though, when we have those days, they are pretty bloody awful. Once they pass though, we can get back to the job in hand with more determination to succeed than ever before!

  • It will be great fun - I went to see them last year and danced around like a woman possessed! What a lovely tidy sum for August, isn't Quidco great. One of my (many) jobs for the weekend is to do the SS referral on Topcashback, any extra money at the minute is greatfully received! Righty ho, off to bed now methinks, catch up tomorrow x

(PS Snaggles your post really made me smile! :))

Hmmm, trying to clear the back log before i put another load of washing in!! Bit to scared to at the mo! So will pass on any additional if thats ok.
Good to hear that you are feeling brighter, hope all going ok your end with the halifax etc. Is strange isn't it, halifax to me has always been the good guy, while nationwide i wouldn't rescue from a swamp crawling with carnivorous crocodiles! whereas i've read some shocking stories about the halifax and glowing reports on nationwide! so sorry to hear about the muck up on your credit file, seems that these big agencies can just write whatever the hell they want about you whether acurate or otherwise and we mere mortals don't have any recourse on it at all!! Grrrr:mad:  I know that you are a wizz with regulations so go get em girl!! :D Now you are feeling more able to fight i'm sure it can be sorted.:T

OH is milking the thumb thing for all it's worth and ain't lifting a finger (or thumb!) at the mo. Asked him to bring bathroom bin down, responded with "and which hand do i carry that in then!" Try the UNinjured one turnip! :rotfl:

Girls aloud sounds great. have to admit at my rapidly advancing years i actually think their latest songs have been ok. Sounds of the underground definately their best. Here's hoping for some fabby weather to go with it.
Are you around for a cuppa at any time tomorrow? just for a quick catch up.

Have opened my barclays accounts!! wohee so th money can sit there stewing for a while then it's mine all mine!! thanks for the hint on that.... Can't get into TD Waterhouse though, everytime i try they say i have to log in again. May call them tomorrow find out whats going on.

Hope DS and DD are ok.
    Hugs

TD waterhouse still hasn't credited my bonus either just yet, so just sitting and waiting. Barclays have credited bonuses and sent statements that show it so am happy there. I have opened Hargraves Landsdown accounts for me today, will do OH tomorrow if I remember. Hopefully we will get a nice amount next year, if not well we haven't lost out, have we!

DD and DS are fine - skiing all week. Much tougher than last time they were on ski camp because this is a national camp - best of the best type thing so they are having to work very very hard. Tomorrow morning starts off with cross country running - before the big races.

Hmm, cross country running in the school holidays? Not sure that would have been my idea of fun at age 11 or 13!!

Are you around middle of the day? I have to be at City College at 10, but don't expect to get done there immediately, so if you are free after that, I can bring those vouchers round and rob you of a coffee?
