Thanks Se999, and LIH - DD is getting more excited by the minute - and she still has a day of running and skiing ahead of her first!!
Right, time to load the car for the day, catch up later xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hey, have a great time at the concert! :j Did I catch some sense that you think you're too old? Nah - I'm olderer (thats a word, btw) than you are by miles and miles  , and *I* like girls aloud. You've got fingers in lots of pies too, by the sounds of it - the accounts sound v mysterious, but v profitable:money: , glad to hear it. And I know it does your privacy no good, but the student has got to be good news moneywise:money: . Don't forget about giving Halifax a rollicking, tho! I'm off to London to work, soon:money: , and have got all sorts of boring preparatory things to do  (not), so next time I log on there will (again!) be 2 or 3 pages of your diary - I want some of that to be a concert report, hear me? !!:rotfl: :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well, I am fairly sure I have a place on the course, but it was so shambolic in the organisation, that I am not absolutely convinced. Good news would be that I can get enough of a grant to cover the fees plus books & cost of travel etc, so it should not add anything to my debt.
On the way back to the car, though, I did pass a French market, and came away with some lovely tasty goodies - not good for the shopping budget but certainly good for the "feel good factor"!
The children both completed their run this morning - DD miles ahead of DS, and now they are preparing for the big race this afternoon. They should sleep well over the weekend!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. so sorry to hear about the muck up on your credit file, seems that these big agencies can just write whatever the hell they want about you whether acurate or otherwise and we mere mortals don't have any recourse on it at all!!
You do. You complain to the information commisioner's office. The Data Protection Act gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them. It provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled properly.
The Act works in two ways. Firstly, it states that anyone who processes personal information must comply with eight principles, which make sure that personal information is:- Fairly and lawfully processed
- Processed for limited purposes
- Adequate, relevant and not excessive
- Accurate and up to date
- Not kept for longer than is necessary
- Processed in line with your rights
- Secure
- Not transferred to other countries without adequate protection
Should an individual or organisation feel they're being denied access to personal information they're entitled to, or feel their information has not been handled according to the eight principles, they can contact the Information Commissioner's Office for help. Complaints are usually dealt with informally, but if this isn't possible, enforcement action can be taken.
Note especially point number 4. If they've put down it's a managed loan, and it isn't - then that isn't accurate.OH is milking the thumb thing for all it's worth and ain't lifting a finger (or thumb!) at the mo. Asked him to bring bathroom bin down, responded with "and which hand do i carry that in then!" Try the UNinjured one turnip! :rotfl:

thanks ZTD for that very useful information - I will take this one further with Halifax next week.
Hi JCD, not on the caffeine but only just got back from the concert that was DD's birthday present. Shane Ward, Jamelia and Girls Aloud. It was actually much better than I expected and DD had a fab time, so that is really what was important.
Bonus though - I took a coat with me because it gets chilly in the evening and in the pocket was a £5 note - now that doesn't happen very often!! It meant we could buy ourselves a hot chocolate each to keep warm :T
The kids skied fabulously this week, and as a result each won a new pair of ski poles, saving me about £50 - DD for coming second in a race, and DS for being in the winning team for the team event!
so, all in all, not a bad day, but am very tired now so will just have a quick flick through the boards, and then head off to bed.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Well done Hypno-kids!!
The French market sounds fab, I love stuff like that - what did you buy?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Sounds like you all had a brilliant time. And the prizes are fab! Well done to the kids :T I'll be up for the next hour nervously hitting refresh on fee-bay then today I'm off to see blokey for the first time in a fortnight! I thought I'd wear a skirt for a change (trying to look a bit more girly) but it's making me nervous. Just as well I bought tights to cover my peely-wally legs :rotfl:Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
