Hi Guys, yes, I am ok really, just having one of those times when you feel as though you just want to wake up and find the debt gone, when you resent others around you unnecessarily for having the ability to afford stuff, etc etc.

You all know that feeling, I know, and I know that I am on the right path and all that stuff, but I think it is a bit like PMT - get emotional over it for a couple of days, and then get right back to business.

Did the mystery shop - went on the bus which was free because the local paper are doing a "try the bus" campaign, so I bought a paper for 47p and got a travelcard worth £10 in return! It did take me 1hr 20 each way, so much slower, but at least the £15 shop fee is then all mine, whereas if I had driven, I would have to take out petrol and parking costs, making it less attractive.

Hey you, I totally understand where you're coming from and just JUST occasionally it can grab you and not let go for a while, esp when people around you are happily spending on their credit cards, sorry i mean wages, and it can feel very exclusionary. Esp as you've had a bit of a tough time of it of late too.
    Big hug coming your way...

    Thanks P, hug much appreciated.

Have to go now and try and get some clients in - my weekly presentation to the driving school, then clients after that, so at least I am being productive, sort of!!!

Hope you are doing ok too. Catch up needed but prob not until next week when the kids are back at school and life returns to semi normality!!

Have another hug! It is hard work keeping this up, especially, as P says, when other people seem to be sailing through money-wise and doing/ buying whatever they want. As we know, though, a lot of them are either getting into debt, or spending on one thing at the expense of another (I work with someone who keeps moaning they 'can't afford' a holiday, when they do all their food shopping in M&S ), or spending just so they can be seen to be keeping up with everyone else.. and even if they can really afford to do it, they won't appreciate things as much as we do ;)

Keep your chin up, you're doing great :) x

I know what you mean hypno, about wanting to be free of the debt, this is the time of year when i sually spend a rediculous ammount of money on christmas presents, before the shops get to busy. It will be a real test for me to see if i can get through the holidays without pilling money on to my debt. I just love to buy gifts for people, ill have to try and do it on a budget this year!

Hi, Before I moved to Prestatyn I lived in Bedford and both dh and I were on good wages we spent load and loads and loads of money, had some nice things, a nice car and went on holidays. But every month we struggled to pay for food, clothes etc and couldn't understand why! It wasn't until we were selling our house that we worked out with all our loans, credit cards, bank fees and terrible spending that we owed about £40000 above our mortgage:eek:.

We were lucky and paid everything off with the proceeds of the house and could start again. So 12 years of marriage and no richer other than in our family life.

So we start again but this time everything (apart from the house) is ours, we're still pants sometimes with money but we learn again. But we're so much happier.

So those days when it feels never ending and see people around you seemingly having lots of money, I bet they don't really!

Ok sermon over for today, chin up I think you're doing brilliantly and you have given other support too in many ways.

    Ev x;)

    Hiya hypno
Hope you're feeling better today, hun. I know what you mean about the tiredness - I saw the item on BBC Breakfast News about Nelson Mandela's statue being unveiled today in London, and him being there to witness it, and had a little tear-ing up at that! Freedom, you see, thats the link for me. Just getting a bit emotional, happens to us all. Thats life!

Morning! Had to make an early start today as the car was booked into the garage at 8am. Just got back, and they will ring me when they have found out what the light on the dashboard means. Could be a faulty dashboard light, because the car is running fine, or could be £££££££££. I have my fingers crossed!

Clients all afternoon and evening, so although tiring, it will be productive cash wise. Tomorrow is busy client wise too, so I think I deserve to take a few mins right now to catch up with a much needed coffee ;) before starting on my admin.
