Thanks se999 - it just obviously wasn't meant to be this year, was it!!

We will make an effort though and do stuff here - even just spending time together will be a novelty!! We have some vouchers for BOGOF meals out so I can have a holiday from the kitchen too!

I am having a bit of a spring clean of "subscribed threads" - I had over 700 of them :eek: . Have also made £5.77 matched betting - not much but all helps!!

Hi Hypno...so sorry about the holiday...what a shame...I can't believe your run of luck (bad)....you are definitely due some good luck...you are one amazing person the way that you are dealing with it...
That's so true about how much on our doorstep that we ignore or don't even notice...I am the same.
I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you decide to do...and you're right to do it MSE way than put it on cards and regret it afterwards

Big hugs for you my friend....well done for "reframing" the holiday (or lack of!). Re the little acrons...at least when they carve on the tree you can look back with love & nostagia when the tree is grown!! Justthink how incredible the feat will be when that battered oak emerges & how much more loved it will be! Acupuncture can be great for car crashes by the way (havent read all of it so will peek later)...I've had a few (they hit me I hasten to add!) & I've found it helpful with the sock/nerves/stress of it...really helped calm me down & stop the nightmares! Big hugs!

Thanks guys - I am back at the physio tomorrow so will see what she suggests then. I am quite happy to try anything - acupuncture fascinates me although I have never tried it. Perhaps this is the ideal opportunity!

I would STRONGLY recommend acupuncture. I've had some amazing results from it. Once when I was booked to have surgery on christmas eve for a breast abcess that had failed to respond to three different antibiotics, one acupuncture treatment did the trick. It is very powerful stuff.

OH, who I have to sa is the most skeptical person ever, had acupunture for his back and found some relief with it too. It also helped him to sleep really well. I do hope you find it helpful - you could even suggest it?

sorry to see you are having a rough time at the moment hope you will soon be back to full fitness very soon, Re the home holiday on the letsgoeastofengland web page they have lots of 2for1 offers for this area including Pleasurewood hills etc hth. We have had a bit of a trip out this afternoon - the sun was shining but it was quite windy. It was the longest car journey we have done since the accident and I really felt every bump in the road! Probably just as well we are not going to Devon!!

Couldn't be bothered to cook properly tonight so the kids had pizza from the freezer (obviously I re-heated it first) and I made a spanish omelette for me with leftover veggies that I had previously frozen. No complaints from anyone so a success methinks!!!
