I'd agree that the flylady OS board isn't scary. I've been doing it for a couple of months now though have to admit that today is the first time i've done all levels for weeks. Sometimes I just don't have time or can't be bothered and then I just try and do level 1. See you over there soon xx

Morning all - Well, I did manage flylady yesterday - only up to level 2. I still find level 3 a little scary! However, I will be endeavouring to do it again today. I think it is the turn of the hall stairs and living room.

Yesterday's trip to the physio resulted in a neck brace being fitted - just what you need in the hot weather!! It is taking a bit of getting used to!

Have a small mystery shop today, and must renew my tax credits today over the phone. Apart from that, it is OH payday, so I can update the spreadsheet for August.

So nothing much planned for the day. I hope everyone else has something far more exciting than this planned!!

    Hi hypno

I think a quiet day might be what you need, huh?!! Mine is too, I'm staggering around a bit today (temporary ouch.....ouch.......ouch) but not working until tonight, boo hiss. Get some of that sunshine on you, not too much mind. Hope the neck brace doesn't irritate. Does it feel helpful? Do you sleep with it on?

I hope the neck brace helps. Can they do anything to reduce the pain in your arms?

That was clearly a serious accident and you made such light of it! Please do take care, and also submit a proper insurance claim for all the suffering and lost earnings.

I hope your gran is OK?

Good luck with the flyladying. I wish I wasn't such a wimp about it. I just found that thread too much - even level one consisted of about ten tasks, most of which I do annually!

KC, why are you so ouch ouch today - I have missed something. Hope you are ok!

I didn't sleep with the neck brace on - I think I would have killed someone if I had to do that!! It is too early to really say if it is working, but as my head feels as though it is too heavy for my neck, it will help to support it and hopefully allow the healing to work quicker.

I think that a quiet day will be most welcome. I am aiming to get the children doing the flylady stuff - the physio even spoke to them yesterday about having to help out so hopefully they will take it seriously!! Then I think we can be rewarded with some of the ice cream that mysteriously found its way into my freezer when I did the "basics" shop yesterday :o

Have just looked back over Snaggles' post yesterday - how does anyone get a room THAT tidy, with little children in existance:confused: Is the house fairy too much for a 13 year old do you think??

when I saw that picture, I just assumed she'd moved into one of those furniture showrooms like on that advert........:D

even withour a little un my rooms don't look that lovely. My littlest is trying to earn some money to go to the cinema (he's 17 & 6ft 4ins) and I asked him to clear the gubbins that has been dumped in his sisters room as she'll be back tomorrow and he reverted to Kevin-ness. I'm glad I'm at work.;)

    Hi Hypno,

Sorry to hear about the neck brace, I was hoping things were improving.

Pleased to hear DS & DD are helping around the house. But it must be frustrating not to be able to do things. I think at their age ice cream is more likely to work than the housefairy.

My key to getting on top of housework was decluttering, it also meant I could actually find things too. Also when things needed replacing it was with things that didn't need extra effort, e.g. pottery and pans had to be able to go in the dishwasher. But that was a gradual change over.

    hypno,

hope things improve neck wise for you soon

ive used flylady for about 6 years now. it does work for me and once it is part of your routine you do it without even thinking. one thing i found about it was it actually did free up time for me (i noticed this after about a month) leaving me more time to do things i wanted to do:)
