I'm ashamed to admit I threw something away the other day with a best before date of October 1998

The worst of it is, we moved house in 1999, so it was actually out of date before we packed it up and brought it here!

    Hi Hypno,

Excuse me butting in but what on earth is flylady? I can't find the post that explains it (or maybe I'm just being a bit dim...) :D Which at 18:30 and stuck in a soporific office is quite possible :rotfl:

Hi hypno - I hope the neck brace does it's thang very soon and you are feeling much better shortly.

I am so pleased your children have been helping you out though - you can't be expected to do house-y stuff when you're recovering from an RTA!

Best wishes - I really hope you get the compensation for this - you're really going through the wringer by the sounds of it.

Well, we didn't have the lemon meringue pie - but not because of the out of datedness (?) but because I forgot!

DS has just made a fab comment - we are watching spendaholics and the guy is struggling to manage on £40 a week for non-essentials. DS has said "I can't believe he says he can't manage on £40 a week for one person. Our whole family can probably manage on £20 a week for all our food and everything!"

It's official - DFW has taken hold of the whole family :T

Awwww hugs to you hypno, i've only just read that you're in a neck brace. What a nightmare but at least it'll get you a lot better and a lot quicker with any luck. Glad you're coping with flylady but make sure you don't do too much or we'll tell you off! Look after yourself xx

Thank you! I think the fact that the physio spoke to the children about helping out has worked wonders. DS even tidied his bedroom today WITHOUT PROMPTING!!!! Also, no arguments over doing the dishwasher, and I have even had cups of coffee brought to me!!

I could let this neck thing linger a little longer if it gets the children behaving like this....................;)

Spendoholics does my head in - at the end of it (he had about £50k on credit cards) she advised him to consolidate on the mortgage  Like that is going to address his life long spending habits!!!

I noticed they did that on last weeks spendaholics, shove it on the mortgage to give you more cash. Wasn't impressed but I guess i've been brainwashed by Brian. I don't blame you lingering with the neck brace if it makes the children do more. Can I borrow the brace? xx
