SF, I am quite good about putting sun cream on. Mum had skin cancer a few years back so I have been much better at it for me and the children since then. Having said that, though, I do like to sit in the sun and try and get a bit of colour so perhaps I should try harder.

Snaggles, it seems that there is nothing specific needed for being an invigilator, just common sense and stuff. There were 4 of us there today, me, two gentlemen who are retired and want to get away from the DIY that their wives keep setting them, and a lady who has just been made redundant so is doing this for a bit of extra while she works out what to do next.

I read about it in the school newsletter that my daughter brought home before Easter, but I think that you can just e-mail the schools direct or phone and speak to the exams officer and they will add you to their list. As far as I can gather, they are always looking for people because it is casual so they need a number of people to cover when others are not available. I am quite looking forward to it!

Congrats on the invigilating gig - £9 an hour is great pay too! I'm very jealous of you sitting in the garden, not only is it not sunny here in Pompey, but I'm at work and I don't even have a garden!

Pretend! Slap on some suncream, and wear your shades indoors! Ok so people might think you are barking but who cares!!

BTW, I am trying to "thank" everyone on this thread but sometimes the button is just not responding! Please don't be offended if thanks do not appear, they are intended, honest!!

    Hey Hypno

It is lovely and sunny here too, and should hopefully be for the rest of the week *YAY* - Yorkshire is never sunny so I'm really happy!

I know its a pain that the bank charges thing is taking time but believe me it is sooo worth it when you get the money - we got £500 and I couldn't wipe the grin off my face all day :D . Was just wondering about whether you have posted your SOA before? Was browsing through your diary *again* (geez I need to get out more  ) and couldn't see it.

Oh yes, I am so looking forward to getting those charges back - they are in the region of £4000 so will make a big difference to our DFD as I can pay off a whole debt with them!!

I never did post an SOA because we really have cut everything back with the exception of the kids activities which as I have mentioned above I will do everything possible to keep. We don't have sky, don't smoke, only drink occasionally, don't go out, have switched electricity and gas, phone etc, have cancelled the gym, have sacked the cleaner etc etc etc!!

Gosh, if you get the £4k back, you will have met your target for this year already, that's brilliant!

Sometimes I even amaze myself!! Just need to keep the momentum going which is why I need the help of you guys all the time! Left to my own devices I would be a financial disaster!

The bank charges will certainly make a big difference to me but of course we cannot count our chickens just yet. I started this claim at the very beginning of January so it is taking its time, but I hope it will be worth the wait. The snowballing will really start to show a difference if they come through as I will still aim to pay off the same amount as I do now.

OH admitted last night that if I died ( ) he wouldn't have a clue where to begin with the money side of things - he said that he doesn't even know who our mortgage is with! Talk about head in the sand  Oh well, just as well that I don't have any plans for my death just yet ;)

Lunch time! Dare not sit outside with my lunch otherwise I will not want to go back in and work when my next client arrives! So I am indoors with a :coffee: and have just listed a book on Amazon and checked ebay, although nothing happening there unfortunately.

I had a bit of a sort out of "stuff" this morning - my house is drowning in ironing and paperwork, so I have started having "organised action piles!!!" such as "household expenses", "tax and wages", "business paperwork", "kids paperwork re activities etc", "rubbish", "shredding", "financial stuff" - boy do I have a lot of piles (not the ones that require anusol thankfully  )

Hopefully, it will prompt me then to start working through each pile and allow me to get on top of things again.....
