Hypno's kick up the backside debt diary....

Ok, brick wall has re-surfaced again.....I have just worked next month out and so far we have no hope of buying food, petrol or staying within the overdrafts. DH was overpaid by £70 last month which they are taking this month and he has not done any overtime in his main job to bump things back up again so we are starting from a fairly low point, especially as we are already over our overdraft limit for this month and he doesn't get paid until Monday.
It means that the paypal money that I requested will go straight into being eaten up by the overdraft, when I had hoped that it would go off the credit cards.
I will only be able to make minimum payments on stuff this month and will have to try and use ebay etc to cover food and petrol which really annoys me because we were doing so well. I see another car boot needed to try and get some cash together.....
oh well, these things are sent to try us, storecupboard challenge and 31 NSD challenge coming up I think!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

What sort of challenge - who loses the most weight because we can't afford to eat, type challenge
who manages to stay in the house and garden most because we have no petrol type challenge

Hypno & Elantan - big (((((HUGS))))) to both of you for May. Have you tried a store cupboard challenge on the OS board - list everything you've currently got in the house & say you can only spend £X on food for Y no of people for the month & see what suggestions they come up with?

Hey Hypno
Your post about your hubby made me laugh out loud, my OH is exactly the same! I kind of like it that way though - I much prefer being in control of the finances - god only knows what our bank balances would look like otherwise!!!
Not much happening for me either on ebay..maybe this sun is enticing people outside and away from their computers (doesn't stop us DFWs though  ). So sorry to hear that May will be a tight month for you - fully agree with the above suggestion to do an OS store cupboard challenge, the guys over on that board really can concoct yummy meals out of any selctions of foods, no matter how random it may seem! Have you got the time to do a little more matched betting to help with the petrol and food?

Hi Hypno, just wanted to let you know I love reading your thread with your regular updates. Hope May brings you some extra needed money. You have given me a kick up the backside to try and sort my finances as they have gone out of control quite a bit lately.

Hey El, I have the answer - I have a pond that needs filling in because clients are in danger of falling in when they come into the house for the loo from being outside in my treatment room! I have been quoted almost £400 which of course I don't have!!
So, how about if I come to yours with my wheelbarrow and we shovel your dirt pile in there and it can fill my pond up!
Everyone is happy!!
So, everyone, here is the challenge - who can do the most challenges in a month challenge? We are obviously in need of stealing everyone elses challenge ideas - Emily is currently queen of challenges but that may be at stake now.......
First one up - I have done a storecupboard meal plan for the week.
Next one, to get some matched betting in for the weekend's footy
Then, the unnecessary spending challenge kicks in
Plus we have to do Moozies Sunday to Friday challenge...
The one after that.......hang on, my brain is hurting now!!
And the winner will be the one who has reversed the least. So, make sure those credit cards stay in the freezer!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
