You're most welcome, determined, I hope today's gone well for you and will be another successful one to chalk up with yesterday's.
You CAN do this, also take note as prophecy_grrl is at the same stage as you so you can draw strength from each other and know both of you are going through the same feelings etc...andYou CAN BOTH beat it IF you want to!!!prophecy_grrl wrote: »*steps in tentatively*
Hi all
I have just found this thread having extinguished my last ever cigarette at 8.30 yeaterday morning.
p_grrl
A very warm welcome, prophecy_grrl, and well done on saying tata to fags! :T No need to be tentative here, we just want to help folk get right away from nicotine so if you need to then go right ahead and come here to rant and rave - then further down the line shout from the rooftops that you made it through!!!!!!! :j
As JD has said, we've had so many successes with Alan Carr's Easyway, so keep with it and there's no reason why you shouldn't be another good statistic too! A day at a time will get you there.
All best wishes.
Sue x PS. Have a look at the piece I've put about you to determined.jammy_dodger wrote: »If anyone else is reading and thinking Ooooo all the money i could save, how much healthier i could be, How much fresher I could smell, how much more time I could have ......if only i could quit

Hiya JD, a brilliant welcome to prophecy_grrl. I also love the way you've finished up too!
Sue x
So there you are folks, read JD's paragraph above if you're a smoker who's looking to quit or thinking of doing so. TRY stopping and see just how you go, there's no commitment, but - wouldn't it be sensational IF it worked for YOU too!

Hello  day two almost under my belt :j
Thanks for the warm welcome JD. I think you were on the thread when I gave up at the beginning of last year and then you disappeared? Yup can't change the past, can only work with what I have now... This time though rodders!
Has been a lot easier than yesterday. Welcome Prophecy_grrlhow has your second day been?
Day two I am finding I am looking for oral comfort so have been eating everything againthink I am going to have to go and get some satsumas and some ice poles to get me through this.
I am also finding I am suffering no fools and think I need to think about whether I want to alienate everyone by the time I am smoke free and if not get a grip on that!
Fortunately the not being able to concentrate has improved today. Not smoking today has been much easier, I have the odd thought like "ooooo when I get home I'll have a coffee and a cig" and then it hits me I don't smoke and I feel a bit sad. Last time I gave up I felt so chuffed and excited I didn't smoke so am hoping for that to come soon!
Stats:
0 times I thought about going and getting some cigs :T
37 cigs not smoked (sooooooo embarrassing!)
money saved £2.96
life saved 3hrs & 5 mins
think am going to go for a walk in a minute and at least try to work off the cake, crisps and choc eaten today
To any would be quiters, I find taking the initial jump and not smoking that first cig is the hardest step after that it becomes a t easier xDF as at 30/12/16

Terrific news about Day 2, determined!!!! :T You're doing just GREAT!!! Let yourself go through the sad time (the grieving) it's natural as that 'orrible friend's gone..the nasty little beast!! Then look forward to the elation setting in, you know it'll happen so look ahead! :grinheart
Try explaining to people about your short fuse and the reason, if they're the compassionate type they'll understand and soon see that the real you returns once you're over the stressful times. If they're not, then let them get on with it. For now though, you worry about you and not others!
Don't forget the satsumas and some Ice Poles mind, so refreshing and they will help and stop loads of calories going on. If you're a chewer then how about some gum? Even if you only chew it for a minute or so.
I love the stats, especially the 37 fags NOT SMOKED, embarrassing...well yes, but terrific that they've not been inhaled by you! :j
Enjoy the walk, D, breathe deeply and get those lungs working properly again.

hiya determined
yes I do remeber you from last time round, feel like I have been on this journey for ever but this time I am certainly not going anywhere
You are doing so well just stick with it put past experiences behind you and keep eyes on road ahead, be prepared for those temptations and pit falls that dragged you back and plan strategies to cope
YOU CAN DO IT

Morning  I am up with the larks this morning and am feeling very positive about my quitting journey
a long way to go until I am out of the woods, but definitely feeling better today than I did on Monday and Tuesday :T
I too am fed up with the merry-go-round of quitting and ten starting and then quitting and so on. So am determined this time it will be for good! Today I pledge not to smoke no matter what life throws at me (will try to be more serene today as well)
Am about to prepare my lunch for the day and am prepared today with satsumas and icepolesThink I will also go for a run after work as well, haven't been for ages but now is the time to start again
Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Righteeho! Here I am, wish someone was on the journey with me! How are you doing Prophecy_grrl?
Doing well today, although do have the feeling that something is *missing*. Ate my weight in satsumas, grapes and icepoles - better than choc, crisps and cake!
Am feeling ever so bored at the moment so might go out for a bike ride after dinner. Oh is studying so no one o distract me. Forgot about the oodles of time on my hands when not sitting down smoking!
JD c25k is how I gt into running, its brill isn't it? I never thought I would love running, but I do! :TDF as at 30/12/16
