Hi iamashoppingaddict, how are things going for you, have you stopped smoking yet?

If so, how have the effects of Champix been? Any problems with that then please either chat to your CN, also let us know how you're feeling here and lets see if we can help.

All best wishes for a smoke-free future. ;)

    Hi Sue

I started taking the champix yesterday so my quit date is 4 March!! Super scarey. Without meaning to jinx anything I've been feeling fine on the tablets, only weird thing is I feel a little light headed for a short while after taking it. But it is however only day 2!

    Fingers crossed!!

Oh babes, I'm delighted to read that. :D Still, you did so well previously that I really do feel quietly confident for you. ;)

Don't let anything knock off balance this time round.

    Sue xx

Such good news, iamashoppingaddict, just make sure you have enough food before you take them and with luck you'll be ok. No doubt the light headedness will be due to the Champix, but not too bad at all and at least that's something you can cope with.

You've made a brilliant start, now look forward to saying cheerio to those nasty fags! :grinheart

Onward from here, and yes, fingers crossed! ;)

Hi there, IAASA, you're doing really well and making great progress without nausea mucking things up! I detest that myself. :(

Time to be patient now, the cigs will sort themselves as you won't want so many, if any, then you can relax into stopping smoking them at all and look forward to getting a much healthier life back, extra cash too! ;)

Well done IAASA....you're on the way.

  • Evening all

Just popping in to say hello and well done to everyone so far.

Am on day 24 now - who would've believed it!! Doing pretty much ok. I haven't used any patches since Monday. I'm just using the gum and feel neither up nor down since stopping the patches.

Keep up the good work everyone

    xx

  • Hi everyone  I hope you all are having a healthy & wealthy time of it! :D

    Just popping in to say:

6 Months free from the dreaded fags today :j:beer::j

This is probably my 4th serious attempt at quitting and I have quit 2 times previously for 6 months (well actually just under as both of the 2 times I almost got to 6 months I relapsed)

    My Silk quit stats say:

Sober: 6 Months, 34mins & some seconds (:rotfl: the seconds are important too)
    amount saved £483.81
    cigs not smoked 2715 ()
life saved 1 week 2 days 10 hours 15 minutes

I really do give this thread and the support I have received to be a huge contributory factor in my success of far. I'm very grateful for all the moral support and encouragement I have received.

I'm sorry I am not about very much at the moment. I have a lot on as as well as the house I am looking for another job. My current contract runs out in July so need to secure alternative employment. That means about 60% of my freetime is spent either looking for work, applying for work or preparing for interviews. Hope to secure something very soon so I can go back to having free time!

Big love to you all. BTW where is annablle? Are you ok? x
