Second last IPA left the bank this morning - hurrah!
So only one more to go in 30 days time.
On the one hand i can't believe how fast the time has gone and on the other hand it just shows how fast life is whizzing past. Is this a 'having children' thing?Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Thought I would drop in and say hi and return the favour and glad I have at such an exciting time :-)
Ive taken a complete turn in events with my life that's what happens when the burden of debt is lifted back to school for me only part time but its opened my eyes to new opportunities, oh and a little new debt but its controllable and an investment

Hi Tilly and HWG,
Just ticking off the days, less than a week now till the last payment leaves.
Actually feels very strange and i don't know when we will be officially discharged from the Trustee, i suppose they'll have to do all sorts of finalising their books etc.
So we probably aren't really free at all!
Desperate to open up a new bank account, the co-op have been fine but they've had such bad pr and such bad results that we would like to be elsewhere. Coutts would be good!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Well that'll teach me to get over-ambitious!:o
On-line yesterday i thought i'd apply for a nationwide flex direct a/c, refused. Then i tried TSB's new interest bearing a/c, refused again. Ho hum looks like it'll be basic bank accounts for another 3 years.
Not that they're a problem but i would like interest on my money! Anyway Barclays and HSBC want you to go into a branch to open an a/c, no good we live in the sticks, so i've got a phone appt tonight with the Clydesdale Bank. Fingers crossed, i would just like a bank i can walk into and pay in a cheque etc. With the Co-op it's all done via the Post Office.
So think tonight's plan will be to see which banks have basic current a/cs but good deposit a/cs that i can shuffle money around in.
Oh and child benefit has gone up by £2 every four weeks:T, so think i'll try a sneeky op to the secured loan:A. Let's start the way we mean to go on!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Sent the £2 child benefit increase to the secured loan and another £2 as I'd resisted the Cadbury diam bars for £1 in the co-op:A
Will have to calm down until we're discharged:rotfl: but it's a start!!
