Hello, have been hanging around on other people's diaries for the last year as i went through bankruptcy, now discharged :j:j:j and although i have 24 payments still to make to the Trustee i feel soooo much better:D and want to start a diary to help me chart my way to financial freedom and choice:D.
So whilst i count down the days i also want to start being a bit more thoughtful about what and how much i eat. Don't want to be on a 'diet' just want to make better decisions, or at least take notice of what my hand and mouth are doing when i'm here or at work or out and about, oh look a bakery:rotfl:you know the feeling??
Lots of things i want to waffle about but for today let's just record that i weigh 15st 8.2lbs and need a generous size 20 to waddle around in:eek:.

Hi love the name of your diary!

If you ever fancy some support and encouragement with your healthier eating there are lots of people in the same boat follwing all different eating plans over in the Health, Beauty & Fashion Moneysaving forum.
I myself am following slimming world and can't praise it enough - the ladies over in our thread are lovely!
Good luck with your 'healthier eating' I know how tough it is.0 -

Hi Polly, from Polly

Wishing you luck with your new diary, payments and "hand to mouth awareness plan"!0 -
Hi Becks and Polly welcome to my countdown!
DH's birthday tomorrow so a frugal pressie of books, a cd, a chocolate orange and a toblerone - see why we have weight problems:D, but we will all assist him with the choc, so hopefully not too much damage all round:rotfl:
Debt - paid in a cheque from the Equitable Life payment scheme for an old endowment i cashed in years ago, so £65.87 to the good.
Sadly also had to part with £195 for DH's road tax and £170 for my road tax, but at least that's them done for another year.
Dreading the mot due next month for my car and last year it was £700 to get through it, not sure at what point it becomes uneconomic but then again it has never broken down.
Have had a look for good reliable scales but struggling to find any. Have the old style mechanical scales but they aren't easy to read, especially when every microgram is going to count here!
Will have an attempt to get some things listed on ebay tonight too, just to have another little bit of income to look forward to!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Went for a walk en masse after lunch, probably undid the benefit with an ice cream afterwards but hey this is a life not a 'diet':D and the dog is flat out now so that's good.
Next task is to go and do some ironing (well maybe have a bit of reading time - have got the follow up to Wolf Hall, Bring Up the Bodies and so far so good) and then do the ebaying when the children are off to bed tonight.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Morning, well i've just made a quick calculation and it's...
711 days until i make my last payment on Thursday 1st May 2014.
Can't do a weigh in as we don't have any good scales at home and i'm on my second mug of tea, so it would be wrong due to all that fluid!
Not a lot planned today, just washing and ironing work clothes and school uniform for the children but for the first time in WEEKS the sun is out, so maybe the tumble dryer will get a rest (and the electricity meter).
Got literally a couple of things listed on ebay and relisted the last lot that didn't sell.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

710 days to go.
Washing outside and drying to a crisp, all of a sudden we have heat and sun:j, so tumble dryer can have a rest.
Only money news today is a request for my P60 from the trustee, shall dig that out tonight and photocopy and post tomorrow.
10 days till payday and had to put diesel in my car:eek: before schedule!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

709 days. will stop doing the big text!
Right phoned up the secured loan company today to get a current balance and a settlement (pigs flying by) figure, plan is to do this each month.
Once IPA is finished, or if we can save anything from our agreed expenses then this will be the first debt to go.
So, balance £20,449.22
& settlement figure £20,854.29
That's a reduction of £226.28 from last month.
Will be a nicer figure when it goes below £20k:T
What else, going to look at an after school club this afternoon, to see what facilities they have for summer holiday childcare.
Not in the nicest of areas, so i need to decide if my children would fit in.
We can also take leave and have some weeks where we can have them at home but we can't cover all the big holiday:(
Think that's it, sun still out, so off to put some washing out, oh the glamour of my life:DWeight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

708 days....
After school club was interesting, nice people and school nice inside but dire outside, stuck in the middle of a pretty grim area, so really don't know what to do...
Also having issues at school, nothing academic just how USELESS they are with their admin and communication. They can't say sorry for their error and i'm afraid for once i am not going to let it lie:mad:
Nothing to report moneywise, just very little left and 8 days till payday:eek:Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

706 days, oopps missed a day - all too thrilling.
Filled out forms for holiday club then wobbled, don't have any option but not happy (but never am). Will speak to DH over the weekend and see how he feels.
School drama is also very wobbly, i'm happy with my viewpoint (obviously) but amazing to see how some people do the right thing and others cannot let themselves miss out on something that is quite trivial. Life lessons all round.
Nothing doing moneywise, just outgoings that i forgot, sports competitions, after school clubs...
However we still have amazing sun and no tumble drying has been done for days now:jWeight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs
