:j:jAnother IPA away, so only 9 more months of payments until we have got that particular monkey off our backs:D:D.
Have had the promise of more electoral role work this autumn / winter, fingers crossed it's a couple of hundred or so:money:.
Got a load of nightclasses to do over the next fortnight, so again should lead to some extra cash next month.
Have noticed a really good job with a different organisation, so pondering that. More of a commute and not so handy for the school run etc but...Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Just a quick update to the sig for another month of the secured loan going out.
Under £16k now on the balance :j
and about 10 months off the term just by keeping the payments the same as they were before the rate dropped:beer:.
Hoping we can get rid of it sooner but time and the ancient cars and crumbling house will tell:rotfl:
Nearly at the end of the nightclasses i think, been manically busy but enjoyed them really!Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Another 1st of the month has gone, so another IPA away, 8 to go.
Kids back at school now, but that means homework:mad: and as the school don't give us any guidelines then i don't know how much good it does.
Feel we were lucky as when DD was in her first year her school had a parents workshop and explained phonics and blending etc, but nothing with this school...
Money very tight, especially as smallest son is far smaller than his brother was at that age, so had to buy school trousers that didn't fall down! Tops not so bad, although he's showing too much neck!
Think it's 235 days till this BR hell is over and our lives and our finances are our own again:eek:.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Moorgate update, balance is £348.74 less than last month and even better is the settlement figure is now just below £16k:j:j.
So feels like it is coming down into the land of numbers i can cope with.
Have a dilema in terms of either getting the boiler replaced (we've been without one since just before Christmas:money:) or getting the damp sorted in the chimney stack / gable of the house. DH thinks heating / hot water, i think get the damp sorted before chunks of wall fall down:eek:.
Plan for today is to bag up the children's outgrown clothes and either take them to a cash for clothes place or take them to the recycling centre and try and get a bit of ebay mojo back and get some of the better stuff listed.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Lack of posting isn't due to lack of interest in getting debt free, just been busy.
Another IPA paid today, so now down to 7 left:j.
Getting very worried about the state of my car, it's 11 years old and is now at 152k miles, not sure if it's my imagination but i feel the steering is not perfect - but i'm so tired maybe i'm just not concentrating? It had a service a couple of months ago.
Finally listed a couple of things on ebay, and plodding on with one poll etc when i get the time (this is getting very rare) but loving the part time second job! Thing is i don't want to spend the income as there are so many things to do to the house, so not feeling very rewarded:rotfl:
Have accepted a quote for a new boiler (at last) but not heard anything back from the plumber since:mad:, really annoying when i've started to dream about a hot bubble bath for the first time since last year:eek:Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

We have heating and hot water:j:j:j, was even cheeky enough to hold back £500 till the end of the month incase there are any glitches and lo one radiator isn't heating up and there is a drip from the boiler, so will call them next week:money:.
Always paid tradesmen in full in the past and then they never came back if there was a problem, so learning slowly. And it's different now as this is cold hard cash, not pretend plastic money:o.
A couple of little bonus jobs have turned up, one is doing the voters roll, did this last year and although it's a freezing job going round the doors it's money! The other is the extra bit of audit work i got from a friend last year, so must have done a passable job.
That will start the 'repairing the chimney / damp gable end problem'. Think this will need a lot of money:eek:.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Oh i could kick myself, i've just given the plumber the retention from the boiler work and having just gone upstairs to check the radiator that wasn't working to find that it has gone cold again:mad:.
I swithered and thought i'd pay a bit and retain a bit but in the end i thought a) it's Christmas and b) i don't like folk in my home, so let's get it over with. PRAT...Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

124 days to go until the last payment, woop woop!
So glad to be off work, children seem happy and quiet - massive hama bead projects going on at the kitchen table.
They have even more lego to play with and loads of books. I also went a bit mad in the Boden sale but clothes for them were a real need, smallest child has hand-me-downs and Boden are worth it for the quality - have i justified??
Pouring down outside and i need to go to the tip and to Tesco's for some milk (and possibly a discounted yule log;)).
Loads of canvassing work to do, but not going round the doors in this weather!
More tea and then i'll figure out what i'm giving them for lunch.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs
