... and establish whether it's the right way up. If it's not, just report your neighbour for treason. Apparently it's like inappropriately touching the Queen or something, or setting fire to your farts in Her Majesty's dockyard. You can be hanged, you know."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

You should only touch the queen if you are suffering from scrofula. She can famously cure you of that.

The Crown Estate is one of the largest property owners in the United Kingdom with a portfolio worth £7.0 billion, with urban properties valued at £5.179 billion, and rural holdings valued at £1.049 billion; and an annual profit of £230.9 million.
Then if that is the case - wouldn't it be a marvellous gesture to the rest of us plebs for the Royal Family with its abundance of wealth, to pay for the Jubilee celebrations?
I appreciate that profits generated from the estate do not go entirely into Lizzies coffers - but they do quite well out of it!0 -

The profit just goes to the government anyway. The Royal Family don't get to keep the profit from the estateThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

You highlighted the profit the crown estate made and said why don't the royal family pay for the jubilee themselves. As the royal family don't get the profit it was a flawed argument. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
