I'm no nationalist, but I wouldn't put a the British flag up for a million pounds. Haven't seen a single flag flying anywhere around here (Welsh valleys).

Why not? If you are British and like being British why won't you show the flag. I'm from beddgelert and I would happily show the British flag

I think you need to check the definition of "nationalist". I don't advocate political independence for Wales. That doesn't make me less Welsh or more British.

On a daily basis being Welsh means more to me. The only thing that defines me as British is my passport, which doesn't get used on a regular basis!!

Why makes you less British is the fact you said "I don't see myself as British". You therefore see yourself as welsh. Your nationality is British but you don't accept that and instead see yourself as welsh.

Therefore you are obviously a welsh nationalist.

Obviously someone who saw themselves as welsh would not display the British flag

I'm not "obviously a welsh nationalist" at all!! By definition, a nationalist wants independence/greater powers for the nation they refer to. I catagorically do not.

I was born in and live in Wales, understand Welsh and my daily life is influenced by that. Therefore I think of myself as Welsh. I never need to refer to myself as British, so it's not in my conscious daily thought.
