It doesn't matter. He was born in Scotland, educated in Scotland, therefore a Scotsman.

Fair enough. No disrepect, but a scotsman who moved to Ireland, built a factory there and in Birmingham, sold his patent to Harvey du Cros, an englishman, you need to grab what fame you can I suppose.0 -

I'm just proud of what my country has done for the world. From tarmac, radar, cure for many illnesses, railway etc The list goes on!

That's rather concerning if you are a police officer. Your standards have dropped since your two year probation. You would be out the job in my local force if you responded to a member of the public with such tosh.
Which offence exactly would the OP's tyre cause police to take action about?
What offence have they committed?
Why is the tyre shown in the piture dangerous? (Reference to the constuction and funtion of tyres may be useful here)
Don't worry, you can have my job later and no, you don't pay my wages being as you're in scotland (One assumes).....0 -
Hi OP, just adding my two pence in here. Showed the pictures to my BF who is an MOT tester and he said that the tyre is not an MOT failure as there are no cords exposed. He also said that he personally wouldn't change the tyre.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit
) - £588

I think patriotism should be encouraged, but within reason. Tarmac was patented by Edgar Purnell Hooley, radar was invented by a russian, railways go back to anicent greece, the list goes on. But stick up for the scots though, just do it right.0 -
Now, you're evidently a troll, but I'll humour you:

From what I've read, you may not be in a job soon! Looks like Westminster want to cut the police in England and Wales....hmm typical British Government. I probably do pay towards your wages, but that's irrelevant.
One should educate me on what a troll is, I'm not good with newfangled jargon.

It's evident you don't know much about Scottish history. Perhaps you were only taught English History in school, but I do apologise on the schools behalf.

Ah, if you got the scottish version, that explains much, we got the real one. No need to apolgise on the schools behalf, I sure they didn't need to mention it to you.0
