floflo don't worry about it, i sold my dh's manky workboots recently (after i'd plucked up the nerve). they didn't go for much, i was a bit disappointed, but the buyer was the nicest, most polite, best communicator etcetcetc i've ever had in all the hundreds.

i think where i went wrong was, i photographed the boots on their own, i have told dh that next time, he has to model them:D

Glad to hear you had a good experience! I pic of the insoles probably wouldn't have hurt but with boots I can see how that would be difficult.

yes it was hard to see inside them. i was asked to (and did) supply a pic of the outer soles though. why is this important r0adpig?
( i know ladies shoes are your thing, but you are the only wellwornshoe lover i've got to ask:D )

what would your likes and dislikes be on a 'me' page?

thanks for sharing with us r0adpig. do you have any idea where your interest came from or when it started? just curious:)

It does strike me as a little distasteful. I don't know the daughter's views or what age she is, though.
I have a 13-year-old son whose trainers are well worn by the time he's done with them, but I wouldn't dream of listing them like that on eBay. Listing my husband's wouldn't especially bother me, though I wouldn't use my main account.

I've just read a lot of this thread (although not all of it I admit!) and I have lots of pairs of well worn shoes as I never seem to throw any out! I may put them on eBay but I have a bit of a daft question!

I did an advanced completed listing search for well worn shoes and searched through but I could not find any in my size (researching final bids, not looking to buy more lol). Now I have ridiculous feet! I have large feet, not your normal 4-8. As there were no listings for my size, is there no market or am I alone with my yeti-esque feet and have a niche market?

    Thanks :p:p

pollyskettle ( i am assuming you're a woman) if you have very big feet and well worn shoes as well, i think you are sitting on a goldmine: you will get the shoes fetishists competing with the cross-dressers and sending the bids sky high!
    :rotfl: good luck to you

now what i need to know, before i start doing this too, is: (silkysmooth69, li'l-p)

has anyone who sold their old shoes had any problems with the buyer afterwards? (no offence r0adpig,if you're reading)

cos i was thinking, if you only take paypal, they don't need to know your address, but if you take other llike cheque, p.o. etc, the buyer has to have your address - has anyone had any grief from this, honestly?

They don't need to have your address but they can request your details after winning an item, also I wouldn't send a parcel without a return address on the back.

floflo, how can they request your details?

i dont have my address available to anyone, if someone buys from me and watns to pay by cheque or postal order, they ask for my address, it's always been like that and that's been ok.
so if my details weren't filled in, would that mean they couldn't get them unless i gave it to them?

you're right about the parcel though, it needs a return address. hmmm, don't know if i dare:rotfl: i sold dh's workboots but that seemed different somehow!:D

As far as I know a buyer can request your details from ebay and they will give them out, I think we agree to this when we open the ebay account.
