Semantics, MK. Sometimes it's most convenient to paraphrase what someone has said.
I don't believe I changed the meaning of your point.

You are wrong, you completely changed the meaning of my point. I meant a beach which may have topless women on - i.e. a normal beach, say in Spain. Not a beach specifically for topless or naked people! you quoted as saying a 'topless beach' completely different from a beach I would take my kids on when I was on holiday !

Anyway, you are making me have dirty thoughts, so I am just going to go and cleanse my mind by reading a page of the bible..

Sorry, MK, I used the term "topless beach" to mean a beach where toplessness can happen. I didn't mean somewhere where you were only allowed if you were topless.

As far as I am aware you can go topless anywhere you like, so you just mean 'beach' then?
  • really woman what is your problem??? Maybe you should spend some time considering the teachings of buddism in the hope that you would not feel the need to be so pugnacious

If you think that "beach" describes somewhere you might choose to go if you wanted to see someone topless then fine.
Personally I'd say you are likely to see someone topless on a beach in St Tropez, but you are unlikely to see someone topless on a beach in Southend.
When toplessness is in question, I would describe the first as a "topless beach" (because toplessness is likely). I wouldn't describe the second as such.

Given that we were talking about seeing someone topless on a beach, I think it is fair to assume that you meant on a beach where someone being topless was likely.

    You are funny :)

Never been to St Tropez or Southend, but plenty of people go topless on my local beach when its hot and I dont live anywhere tropical !

In fact there is a picture in my local paper today showing plenty of almost naked people sunbathing and my town most definitely wouldnt have a beach described as a 'topless beach'

Anyway, can we just agree that I wasnt theone to bring up 'topless beaches' I mreley mentioned 'seeing someoen topless on a beach'

Ooo big words! have you been studying?
  • Have just read through your other posts and I can see you are having a hard time at the moment, which probably accounts for why you are being so cutting and wanting to spar with people.

I hope you feel better soon

I know I feel a bit sorry for JTW as well :( it must be hard knowing that your partner is probably 'cheating' on you almost 24/7

Oh and are you a stalker?

I'll agree that I was the first one to use a phrase.

I used it to mean "a beach where you may well see someone topless". On which definition I still maintain you were the first to mention the concept.
