Just to check - we're censoring what is in people's minds too? I'll stand in anyone's corner but expecting people not to have an imagination is quite an extreme step along this spectrum.
I'm saying that watching a program simply because you fancy someone in it and want to masturbate isn't appropriate if you are in a relationship.0 -

Wow. By that measure I seriously need to cut out some of my essential viewing!0 -
1) she may or may not be enjoying it
2) she may or may not have been coerced or forced into it
3) she is not acting like she's having sex - she IS having sex
I wouldn't expect the woman to enjoy it all the time. It's their job, I don't always like doing my job. I don't see why this should be any different just because they work in the sex industry. If they hate their job that much do what anyone else should do, quit.
I accept that some people are most likely forced into it but this will be the absolute minority. Certainly the mainstream American !!!!!! you see is consensual.Who would be okay with their daughter making amateur movies and putting them out their as a personal service to the nation's masturbation needs?
Probably no one. However why should we base our decisions on what our parents would want? If the girl is choosing to do it I don't see why her parents should feature in this.0 -

Oh, I'm certainly not saying that should be everyone's rule.
Obviously in a relationship where individual !!!!!! is acceptable then watching someone on TV simply because you fancy them and want to relieve yourself would be acceptable.
But in a relationship where !!!!!! isn't acceptable (discounting reasons like boycotting the !!!!!! inductry for ethical purposes) I don't see choosing to get your kicks by watching someone on a non-!!!!!! program is acceptable either.0 -

I think the first one is surprising as it never crossed my mind that people would do that and the second is baffling too because it seems so unlikely that someone would be able to completely wipe their mind of the thought of anyone but their partner and even if they could, I don't understand why they would be expected to.Just because it says so in the Mail, doesn't make it true.

I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean putting an ordinary tv programme on to 'relieve him/herself' (do people do this?) or do you mean watching something with someone they are sexually attracted to in it then thinking about them afterwards?

It came from Lotus-eater's post #213 which was in response to my response (#204) to MeganKate's post #181 (which, as it happens, was in response to you!).
The question was if pornography is a no-no in a relationship then what about looking at attractive (semi-naked) strangers? My point was that deciding to watch pornography was more akin to deliberately going where there would be attractive (semi-naked) strangers.
Which brought up the question of regular TV programs. My point is that watching !!!!!! isn't like watching someone on TV who happens to be attractive. It's more like specifically deciding to watch a particular program because there's someone in it who you want to whack off to.
I'm not convinced that anyone (over the age of 14) would actually do this, but to me if they did it wouldn't be right in a relationship.0 -

Wasn't/isn't Baywatch the most popular program in the world, doubt if it broke up many marriages, but it probably improved a few sex lives
* Obviously there is masturbating "over" her and masturbating "thinking" about her.............. would masturbating over her also be classed as being unfaithful, as long as no bodily contact occurred?just asking :A
