What was your cat doing on the roof ...?

generally they sleep in the sun!The cars now to their disgust tucked up in a garage!
I found a stiff brush worked wonders as did brown tape

    Hi
Im plagued by cat hairs and no matter what I do I cant get rid of them. Seem to have acquired 4 cats and with the latest white cat arrival the hairs have got really bad.Its really getting me down but I cant seem to get rig of them .My desk, keyboard and bed are the worse as they are black .Does anyone know any good tips of how to dust them so they dont come backwhile you are watching ! Or to make it easier to clean them. I just feel the house looks so unclean .

I feel your pain - we have one white cat and thats bad enough!

For clothes - a lint roller is always good
Furniture - a clothes brush (the type that the hair sticks to, it has a velour kind of finish!)
For hard surfaces - use a wet / damp cloth although i'm never entirely sure on the most hygenic way to then clean this, i tend to soak them in the sink and then wash. You could even use a hoover attachment on your keyboard?

In terms of reducing the hair, i give the cat a good brush (with a thick brush and then a flee comb) but do this outside to reduce the build up in the house. I know its difficult to pin them down but i find a tip-bit like a piece of ham generally keeps them quiet and in one spot to give them a good going over! ;)

    Hi Cat :)

I've added your post onto the end of an older one that may be of some help to you.

    Good luck :)

    hi

I have two dogs, and the only thing i have found gets hairs off is to tumble dry them. The clothes not the dogs (before the RSPCA come round). Costly yes, but it's the only solution i've found. When someone invents a hairless dog i'm trading mine in!!!!!!!! i've a wooden floor and i'm CONSTANTLY sweeping it. I was going to suggest frequent bathing but you dont really bath a cat do you? mind you not many hoover them either lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure where this should go but I'm in desparate need of advice! I have two white cats who discovered my beautiful, brand new black wool coat lying on the bed in the spare room. They're not allowed in there but seems the coat was too much of an opportunity to sleep on to miss

I've sticky rollered it, vacuumed it, sat picking the hairs out by hand but they're well woven in, in places. It's a losing battle and I'm running out of ideas. Someone suggesteded spraying it with dilute fabric softener when it's eventually hair free but I've got to get it in that state first! Bar shaving the cats is there another way I can try to get the hairs off? Help, please :(

  • A slightly damp rubber glove works well in removing cat hair from carpets and upholstery.
