Hi all, ive been re directed to this for amazon, some great info in here. anyway 3 questions.
I am trying to sell a nintendo wii on amazon, and its coming up with this,
"The item for which you have attempted to create a listing is a restricted item in our PC & Video Games store. Listing against restricted items in this store is limited to pre-approved sellers only."
How do i become a pre approved seller?
2 - When i search some items on amazon, a few competitors, have a logo instead of a username, how do i do this?
3 - I think i have read something on here and other forum,s about a monthly amazon fee, but its only worth doing, if your selling over a certain amount of items? Can anyone elaborate?
Thanks again!
This is an anti-scam measure by amazon to stop disreputable and potential scammers from listing high vale items. To become pre-approved you need to build up a good feedback record first, or you could try contact amazon direct. When you do get approved you will become the target of scams so check your amazon account before dispatching!Do You Twitter?

Hi Tylerboyo
Welcome to the thread2 - When i search some items on amazon, a few competitors, have a logo instead of a username, how do i do this?
This isn't something that you can 'just do', I believe you have to contact Amazon and pay for this - not sure how - perhaps Rarestuff has more info from the Amazon Sellers Board??3 - I think i have read something on here and other forum,s about a monthly amazon fee, but its only worth doing, if your selling over a certain amount of items? The monthly pro seller fee is £28.75, if you are not a pro seller you are charged a 'closing fee' of 86p per item, if you are a pro seller this fee is waived, so if you sell more than 34 items each month you save money.
There are other benefits to being a pro seller, such as not having to re list every 60 days, although this does encourage you to check your prices and details.
You can also do a bulk upload of listings and download various reports - I don't often use these though - useful for a global addition/change to listings.

If people on the amazon sellers board know how to do this they have been keeping very quiet about it, and the question does get asked frequently. It is some sort of 'enhanced' seller status, not sure what is required to gain this, and no one who has gained it has said how they did it. I suspect you do have negotiate a fee and prove you are a viable & trustworthy business to do this.Do You Twitter?

just to confirm, "pro merchant subscriber", is the £28.75 monthly charge, that cancels out the 86p closing fee?0

thought i would share with you guys,
I have just received a bulk lot of books from priority books who sell fruit boxes of books to amazon sellers ( aswell as individually on amazon themselves) and I am VERY pleased with my lot, after the first crate of over 35 books 8 are non-sellers and the rest vary from 10p to £10, obviously nothing has sold so i cant say if the value for money is there yet, but the quality is to a high standard.
I will keep you updated to the success of this but I am impressed and pleased so far !!
