You can't claim off the PO for 15 days - they say it is "delayed" rather than lost so ask your buyer to check with her local delivery office to make sure it isn't sitting there waiting for her to collect it and say that as soon as the Royal Mial agree (15 days from posting) you will do the refund immediately.

Have you told her you got a COP? I ask because i have had one or two say it hasn't arrived and I always reply that I have the documentary proof of posting and will be checking with my PO here - and asking them to do the same and explaining the 15 days . So far it has always miraculously turned up ....

    cynical?? moi?????

hi.. well emailed the guy.. asking if he could contact his local sorting office... and emailed straight back saying that he had, and its not there....

i emailed him to say that i will have to wait until the middle of next week before either issuing a refund or post another book out.. and then take the matter up with royal mail... and this is his reply ...

    Hi,

I am desparate for the book so I am off to Borders to get one later so
I can do some allotment work tomorrow. In regard to the refund, I
don't think I should wait, as I am out of pocket and its a dispute you have
with the Post Office not me. Accordingly, could you please issue full
refund with postage now and if it does turn up I will contact you.

    Thanks

so i am right ..( before i email him back) in sticking to my guns until the middle of next wekk ?

also now that amazon has paid me, and there is no money in my amazon account. ( quiet on sales the last week or so ) will they refund and take the money out of my bank account ?

  • I think that I'd refund ASAP because he's waited 10 days now, maybe he's spinning a line but you'll never know and if he's been antagonised he *might* forget to tell you if it really does turn up in a few days time, Amazon will take the money out of your bank account I assume

Most enquiries like this are genuine, though worth checking their feedback to see if other sellers are reporting problems with them. Also worth asking them to confirm delivery address and if they have checked with their local delivery office as delivery notifications cards aren't always left.

As for refunding if your account is 0, money won't be taken from your bank account until the end of the 2 week billing period, so depends if you sell anything between now and then whether they take money from your bank account. Also think you're permitted to be in debt by upto a fiver for one billing period and if no credit by next one they'll take it.

You'll find a bunch of listings for it there, some full sets some not. You may also be able to get more idea of printing date from studying some of the more detailed listings.

    Good Luck!
