Hi, i started selling these on Amazon and haven't had one pruchase. I haven't advertised but I've started all of the auctions at 1 penny to get some sales under my belt.

Can anyone advise on how to promote these sales or whether I should just stick to eBay?

The link to my item is here: -

    here

Any guidance would be appreciated or even if you just know someone who would like to buy one!
  • Hi desjazz, I think that ebay has a far better audience and leaves amazon auctions dead in the water.

    Hi

Thanks to Funkfunkymonkey I have found this thread :)

Can some people with Amazon experience please take a look HERE and give me their thoughts?

Thanks again FFM for your help. And thanks in advance to others.
  • I think that FFM is right that you have hit the snags that everyone hits in due course but they've all come close together for you I'm afraid.

With the bad feedback Amazon might be able to look at it for you if it is derogatory but if they don't want to remove it you can at least add a comment to balance it out. The customer service number is 0800 2796620

With the returned book you won't really know where you stand with it till the buyer has got back to you to say what they want to do about it, you may end up refunding them and relisting.

Just thought I'd draw people attention to this post I did last night about Play.com starting a 3rd party seller program like amazons!
Not sure when it will be open to all, but details are here -

Cooltrikerchick, I'm impressed that you managed to get a huge pile of books for £1.50  - I've been round the charity shops today too - cheapest books I could find were 50p each! Where do you find your bargains? I only got a couple today, still finding it hard to judge what might sell.

On the positive side, it's nearly the weekend, which means car boots and maybe a sale or two! :D

i try and buy in the local charity shops... what i mean is the ones that are set up for local causes.... as i find the main high street ones.... like......oxfam... cancer research... red cross...etc..... their prices are expensive or erratic in pricing.......unless they have a sale on ;)

the charity shops i like are full to the rafters of all sorts... like a good old curiosity shop.... where practically nothing is thrown out ......and all is offered for sale....

these types of charity shops are few and far between.. but when you do find them..... ooooooo its like being back in a old fashioned sweet shop.....you just dont know where to start.....

another book i had there was ...thorsons guide to making business presentations... isbn...0722512287....which was a good little find...

thanks....a.p. will take a look at those links now.. and list the book.... at a realistic price......

but did you see the last book.....on the list i think it was listed at £399.99
