selling your stuff on Amazon - part 9 - advice for newbies in the first 2 posts

CTC, I found one of those types of shops today, everything was just crammed in very higgledy-piggledy, thats where the books were 50p. It was the local animal charity one. Apart from that (and it's not as cheap as yours ) we only have the High Street ones, and books start at 99p in those :rolleyes: . Methinks jumble sales are the way to go - if I can find any

I used to live in London and knew quite a few of those local charity shops but up here they don't seem to exist in my area or else I just haven't found them yet Only 2 charity shops in my small town and books are £1.50 - £2.00 for paperbacks :eek: They occasionally have a sale and I buy 3 for £1 popular novels and stick them on Greenmet otherwise I tend to steer clear or else check the ISBN if I think it MIGHT be a good seller.

I do look in the towns aroundabout if I happen to be there but they all seem much the same up here....... My local library did withdrawn books for 10p [and no they weren't introverts] but have none at the moment - getting withdrawal symptoms

School fetes are good too, parents who never donate stuff normally send stuff to those, so you get loads of eclectic stuff at ridiculously low prices sometimes.

On another note have finally reached feedback of 20 today - not much by lots of folks standards but I'm well pleased, [only about 1 out of 4/5 buyers leave feedback]. I think I've been selling for about a year now as I waited about a month for my first sale which was 21st April last year :beer:

Only have 170ish listed but try and keep it around that number so not done too badly. Thanks to all for help and advice on this board and am still addicted to those SDNs - got a pending tonight and only ever had one of those go through... so fingers crossed.....

here's to lots of sales for all over the weekend :j

Anyone??????? they do seem to have more books listed than amazon. I tried to list a book again yesterday on amazon which it did not recognise but found it straight away on abebooks.

this is very off topic, but I am not at all techinical and I wonder if anyone can help. It is related to Amazon , but buying. I have some money in my paypal account and a voucher code that was emailed to me. Now I want to pay for a dvd with the voucher and use paypal for the postage. I know you can get it free spending £15 but I really mustn't spend any more money I haven't got!! so what I want to know is how to do it. When I go to checkout it comes up with my credit card details and I don't want to pay with that. Anyone help please.

amazon do not accept paypal. And vouchers can only be used for buying from amazon not 3rd party sellers.
