Have sold 5 books now, but have had no feedback:confused:

Has anyone else found this? Was thinking about emailing buyers and (politely!) asking if they'd mind leaving feedback but read a thread about this and decided not to.

I've described all the books honestly and accurately, so I shouldn't think the buyers would have been unhappy - what to do?

Hi Cat, I sold about 5 books before I got one feedback and then it took ages for the next one to come..... I had a look at the number of sales I've had versus feedback and about 1 person in 5 leaves it. All 5/5 so far so fingers crossed it continues like that. Have to say though no feedback or very little didn't stop buyers even for quite expensive books.:j

This is seriously weird - have been selling well, and achieved my target this month in record time. Then everything stops - nothing for over two days - no feedbacks no sales no nothing.... sad.gif
Is there a way of checking what time people actually ordered stuff as opposed to what time Amazon tell you they have? Servers and glitches come to mind with this very odd famine or feast thing. I just wonder whether people have ordered and it is is sitting on amazon waiting to be processed ...
  • Hi

If you go into your open listings and sort according to number of copies, any showing as zero are being processed. Sometimes when Amazon has a glitch they can sit at zero for a day or two - this is different from the times when a purchase has gone 'pending'.

Ouch! So what happens if we get negative feedback because of that?

It's not unusual for there to be periods of nothingness on amazon, even with hundreds, thousands listed.
You can check the timing of orders payments by looking in your recent transaction, under get paid, View recent Payments transactions and invoicing history, searching for the transaction and clicking the order number. There will be a display down in the left hand corner like this -

    Pending Buyer Payment 15.03.2007 08:24:33
    Processing Payment 15.03.2007 08:24:33
    Completed 15.03.2007 08:25:12

this is one that went pending and cleared the other day -

    Pending Buyer Payment 12.03.2007 17:15:10
    Processing Payment 12.03.2007 17:15:10
    Completed 13.03.2007 19:01:33

anyone know about electronic postal scales, tried to find out through company address online but they dont give info they want to send out stuff, and you have to input details. I think this scale may be too good to be true

You can get electronic kitchen scales cheaply from any supermarket - I'd suggest you use the dieting ones though as they weigh more accurately at 250gms and the like - not great for heavy packets however as they usually only weigh up to 1kg

thanks boston, thing is I was given these scales. A friend who knows I,m embarking on this wee venture, clears out abondond offices and the like , was told to skip all the stuff, but decide to pass these on to me. Dont have a conecting wire as yet. So before I go lokking for one and maybe paying out money, thought I,d seek a bit of advice first
