I find it a tad annoying that I have to remind them each time, it should be done automatically

Neither did I and I was a bit distracted so have only just noticed!
However cannot really complain as my shopping came to over £80 and I only ended up paying £38. I was a bit panicked though as just before the nice CA was about to give me a total a superviser came over and said all coupons over £1 had to be referred. I had lots of clothing coupons and Sainsbury's coupons so was a bit worried. However he only referred the Sainsbury's one and that was ok so very relieved.
I still love Tesco's!0 -

Every few weeks someone starts a discussion on here saying Tesco have/will stop accepting coupons.
If anything, my local Tesco seem to be more 'voucher friendly' at the moment
. I have done 2 small shops at Tesco today and used plenty of vouchers on each visit (all my coupons are 'legit' - I don't do Sommerfield etc)
If your coupons are refused, then just smile sweetly, put them back in your purse (or in my case coupon tin
) and use them on your next visit - and remember the face of the SA who served you....then never ever go back to that SA!.
I think it's the 'norm' for Tesco to only usually take 1 coupon of each type (eg, 1 Nappies voucher, 1 Magazine voucher etc).
Happy Couponing (sorry LittleBill I think I've pinched that word from you
)

Just heard that tesco are now going to take over Somerfields/ASDA/Morrisons/Kwik Save/Waitrose/ and that coupons will be allowed on the third day of the month only and as long as there is a "R" in the month. Paranoid people I really love you, you need to get a life please and also go shop somewhere else for goodness sake.
The one thing I would love to say to some of the moaning ninnies I get to speak to when they say Ill have to go to ASDA etc......Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease do so. You always see them next week LOL0 -
If they are stopping no-one has told the lovely cashier that just served me, took all me coupons and a full pack of Quit Kit ones too.0

One of my favourite servers would only accept 2 coupons now. I was trying to pass off 3 so I took one back. I now have to sort the coupons out now b4 I go in. There is no saying how many the other servers will take but that's what makes couponing at Tescos so interesting....lol0

Where does everyone get their coupons from? In order to use so many

I'm lucky to get about £5.00 to use (unless buying clothing and the H&B ones!!)
It really does amaze me how little some people pay for their shopping using their vouchers/coupons.

Well quick-learner your first port of call each day is to check out the daily newspaper thread on this board. For example yesterday I bought the Express cost 70p that had a voucher for a free box of Sugar Puffs worth £1.39 and the Sun which had a voucher for a free tube of toothpaste. Thursday and Friday just gone in the Mail were book vouchers worth £3.50 off a book but can also be used (SA willing) as money off.
I much prefer the higher value vouchers such as the Daily mail one, as I don't have to hand over wads of 20p, 10p vouchers etc. Also when using a self-scanner if the Sa says only one voucher then the £3.50 one is a good one to use.
I bought 25 copies of the Daily Mail with the £3.50 voucher in and so far I have used 12 of them so have significantly reduced my shopping bills.
I also check out MBN's fab magazine thread which tells us which magazines have good vouchers in.
When I have free time (gosh what is that !) I email companies directly and ask them for money off vouchers.
I have also joined paid to shop (https://www.paidtoshop.co.uk) which is a fab website which is full of great information for someone like me who likes to keep up to date with the latest tips and hints. I am also impressed with the swapping section of the board and have made several fab swaps. This is another way to get money off vouchers by swapping your unwanted vouchers.
There are also vouchers for sale on ebay but that is generally my last option.
Hope that helps - Welshy x

Thanks to mainly good advice on paid to shop I got lots of clothes free tody at Tesco and unless the till beeped they took them all-I have I admit followed Welshy's advice and gone for young boy student types and busy weekend periods. I was jumping for joy and loving it... at 6pm tonight when I did my last lot. I did get a bit worried when a middle age woman took over from the young boy but she just whizzed them through-points and money off -they better keep taking coupons -it is much more fun than earning money!-and the kids love going shopping as normally I shop online.0

Well done cannyscot - I love to hear about other people's bargains - following all our weekend successes I think the tesco clampdown isn't nationwide but is purely down to the cashier.
